In short, yes. You must also get in the habit of creating these pages too, privacy, contact, disclaimer, and site map pages in footer. Use wordpress and it's easy.

It is always best to have them in every one of your websites just to be safe.

    Dude!

I put a terms of use, disclaimer, earnings disclaimer, contact, and privacy policy on every website that I publish. Period.

    Better safe than sorry.

PS: Do yourself a favor, put a desktop icon labelled "Legal", and have a template of ALL OF THESE FORMS.

The benefits are myriad really, and you also get the privilege of appearing to be more ethical, professional, and trustworthy. (Oh yeah, and Google compliant).

Earnings disclaimer? Why would you need that? so people know how much you are earning?

They do not need to know how much you are making.

It is to tell them that they may or may not earn an income the same as you, if your are promoting a product for sale.

People have been told that they will make a full time income and have not made any money at all.

Do you guys just write the disclaimers, terms of use, privacy policy off the top of your head? copy other peoples? or hire a lawyer to do it for you?

A website showing off pictures of your cat does not need legal terms.

For a sales website, it should absolutely have terms.

What terms you need depends on your website and product being sold.

As far as making them up off the top of your head - if you don't know what you are doing, or simply copying from somewhere else - what you may be creating can be worse than not having any legal terms at all. I see that happen all the time.

This is your business. Treat it like a business and get professionally prepared terms.

It certainly does if it invites people to enter into a contract on the basis of representations made on the site. That would definitely include a sales website.
