What do you guys offer when you ask for someones pics to be used?

I have been Pming people in a fitness site if i could use their before and after pics in my site. Unfortunately, none wanted any part of it. Some were mildly interested, but they wanted more than the usual exposure and backlink that i would offer to their site.

It is frustrating to know that i have been in that site for some time now, and i really didnt expect that much rejections.

Most of their replise had "what's in it for me" or other forms of the same meaning.

    Forget about the rejections.

That should not surprise you if you've been doing IM for a while. That's the guiding principle when copywriters, or writers who know, are writing their material. But it's remembered from the perspective of the customer.

So from here on out just expect to run into that attitude.

But, something occurs to me about this. If you're promoting something as an affiliate, you should be able to get images from the vendor. Just ask them.

If you're creating your own product, then the images really don't apply since perhaps those people did not get the results from whatever you're creating.

I don't know the particulars, but it begs the question of what you're doing/selling and what those people used or did to get their results.

You can promote whatever it is without the before and after. Yes, they get attention, but you can still succeed without them.

That kind of "people" always expect some immense benefits. Site owners tend to be extremely selfish and especially if they're making a lot, they're "cash squeezers" - they want as much as possible even for minimal favors...

I advise you to buy photos from stock photography sites. I personally use iStockPhoto. It's not cheap, but you might get 1-2-3 pics at quite a low price. If you search enough, you'll find cheap pics, but quality pics...

    Good luck!

I guess what frustarted me the most are those guys that don't have IM sites. I expected No from those with IM sites but still tried. I will be selling fitness related products, such as supplements and such.

Yeah, I'm trying to search now for those kind of pics. I guess i'm just disappointed because i wanted a motivational page on my site to help out with traffic.

      Good luck!
