How Do Your Build Your List?

Hey Warriors,

I have built up a list of over 1,200 subscribers by creating free ebooks and marketing them on forums (like this one and DP and other forums). This has worked pretty successfully for me.

Just wondering what you guys use to build your lists so I can take those ideas and continue to build my list.

Also I know this thread will help other list builders get great ideas.

So let me know how you build your list.

Hey, I just got into the list building scene not too long ago and one of my methods requires you to go looking for as many Giveaway events as possible and provide some sort of free book or report.

As long as you refer at least one person to the Giveaway event, your account will be active. I signed up for one a few weeks ago and got over 30 signups just for one free book.

If you apply this to as many Giveaway events as possible who knows what kinds of results you will have.

I know this isn't explosive but any and all methods can continuously build your list. Also, try to provide something unique only to you as other marketers will no doubt try to give away the same resell rights or plr product.

I do my own graphics which helps people realize they are getting something unique from me. I hope this helps.

Can you sell your ebooks on ebay?
      I never knew that.
      Do you get many sales?

I have optin boxes that slide into my sales pages and the majority of my traffic comes from affiliates. Thats how I get most of my subscribers.

oops, Charlie beat me to it already.

Sorry Charlie, didn't see your post.

But at least it's good to see more than one person mention it here

Along with the "normal" ways to build my list I use a method Jimmy D. Brown turned me on to. I go into it briefly in this article (no details because it's not my method to tell):

No Moaning and Groaning -- Painless List Building

I know, it's a long article, but if you're interested in list building it's a good read. =

Sell something on the back end after people optin so you can pay affiliates to build
    your list for you.

I can ramble off a ton, but this is my biggest list building tip I can give you.

I think Charlie was actually talking about something else.

When using this method (back end products after they subscribe), how can you maintain the cookie so you can credit the affiliate for any sale?

Won't you lose that detail once they subscribe and then click through an email confirmation link?
