Yes and no. I have never tried to put AdSense to the videos, however, Youtube (and not only Youtube, but also many other video servers) are a great way how to promote your own product or service.

Simply create some videos which solve some problem which may your prospects face, use suitable keywords in the video title and description and submit it to the major video websites. Change the title a little for every website so your video will rank for multiple long tail keywords.

You have to be getting tons and tons of views to make any decent amount of money. Like, in the millions. We get more than a million views a year and we felt it was more important to not lose the integrity of the videos with ads.

Remember too, if you are getting insane traffic to your youtube advertisements and you are attempting to send them to a squeeze page, you better have a good server. I knew a guy who had a company and this was his first mistake.

Please keep in mind as it concerns Youtube ads:

    - 96.3% of those who run ads are large corporations who care more about 'CPM' than 'CTR'

    - The new feature which seems to show unwanted ads (click orange 'skip ad' button) gives huge price breaks because advertisers are only charged when the entire 30 second ad is watched

Both of these are relative to your question because both Youtube and Facebook are DESPERATE to improve ROI for advertisers. Why? Hundreds of millions in lost ad revenue because these ads are tough to make money with.

There is a much cheaper way to get 'quality views' on the Tube. Remember - 'intent' and 'content' must align and unfortunately, Youtube for small business budgets just isn't there right now.
