Hello there Guys i was wondering if anyone out there had any thoughts or comments on ,or would just like to talk about their first sale including as many details as possible....
My first sale on the internet was actually not in the IM niche but on craigs list ...And it was a duzy believe me ...I have had several items sell on craigs list and as you all probably know ,It was pretty simple .You basically list the item in the correct category and wait for hits..HITS??? Wait a minute arent hits related directly to traffic? Yes it is .And that is why i want to mention how to get free traffic here from craigslist..Believe it or not i can easily get 2-3 hundred clicks in 24 hours from craigs list and i am not exagerating ..I could easily just multiply my strategy to easily double or triple my response...

Any comments would be helpful

  What i find hard to believe is that one has to create dupe accounts and talk with oneself in order to sell products which is exactly what i see in many threads here.

  My 'first sale' came from promoting a Sales Page Creator product via my signature in a paid membership site I was a member for back in late 07'. I had logged into CB for some reason that day just to see how my traffic stats were doing and sure enough, I saw $50+ dollars sitting in my account. To say I was overjoyed is an understatement!
  
  That little $50+ payment proved to me that promoting a good product that had wide appeal and adding a link in your sig. file and, of course, commenting in forums where you're offering real advice/input and not just 'spamming' to get your sig file seen, really does work!

  My first & many subsequent sales came from a highly technical site i wrote for newbies on a hobby i had.
  
  After non stop phone calls from people too lazy to read instructions i got out of direct sales & simply redirected my sales links via an affiliate link to a competitors site.
  
  Be careful what you wish for!
  
  All subsequent sites were affiliate link based until my most recent which is a combination of affiliate products PLR products & software.

My first sale was that I consciously made was the OTO that Mike sells access
to called The Best Selling Website Ever.

Was OTO Goldmine before OTO Goldmine existed. LOL

It converted great for me.

Made about 29 of those sales in my first month actually
kind a knowing what I was doing.

That was almost 4 years ago!!! Damn does time fly by.

My first sale was back in 2002 when I signed up for "Instant Internet Empires"...

I had no idea what the heck I was doing at all. However, I was really impressed with the tutorials in the actual product. (this was before broadband...it took like 2 1/2 hours to download the files back then)

I hired an email firm to send out 1 million emails (literally) and I think I made 10 or 11 sales.

Right now i simply can't get another one. Lousy me.

Well i am sure if you stay determined then you will definately go somewhere with your websites ..I really do believe that...As far as talking to myself in a post..It dont work ..I never had a product or a signature until just the other day ..But i have been working on something great that i hope to get off the ground someday

My husbands first sale was on ebay. He's done several sales over the past few months. We are venturing into Craigs List as we speak. Looking forward to see how we do. I have heard great reports tho and am very optimistic.

For us, it was just a matter of staying focused on perfecting one venture at a time. For a while there, we had too many irons in the fire and nothing happening in terms of results and sales. Since we have focused our endeavors, things are moving much smoother now.

All I can say is stay motivated and focus on what is working for you. Hard work pays off....just stay at it. Good Luck!

  Like five years ago i have started my affiliate career as a pharma affiliate (you know - all these men's pills ) - it was hot back then and just started to boom. Have built my first affiliate website and started with link exchanges. The very next day i had my first sale through one of these crappy link exchange links (was just pure dumb luck) - something like $30-$40. Boy, was i excited - a sale next day i told the world about my website
