How do you track your opt-in rate?

I'm using aweber and it has a reports tab where it has a code to copy onto my squeeze page, is this what you use to track how many visitors vs opt-ins you have?

Should I use google analytics instead or with it?

Sorry for the newbie question :/

I have found that under web forms I can see unique displays vs submissions. Is this what you guys look at? Is it reliable?

Auto responder only helps to track numbers of optin (correct me if I am wrong). You need 3rd party software/website to track on sales, unique / raw click

The stats inside aweber only give you the overall picture.

    Let's say overall it's 5%, but you've been advertising in 2 places.

Campaign 1 generated 75 hits but no subscribers vs Campaign 2 which had 25 hits and generated all the leads.

If you were using a third party tracker then you would know to focus in on campaign 2.

What type of tracker to use is anothe "how long is a bit of string?" question.

Just find one that suits the type of advertising you do, and the other people in your niche.

Yes but if you have a different list for a different campaign it would work perfectly.

I wouldn't say it is that kind of question because as some have said not all trackers are accurate and finding out what they are can avoid false data.
