Honest Opinion On My Squeeze Page

Had this squeeze page built for my first seo merchant.

www.basketballlessonsforkids.com

Would like some feedback.

He did not want to offer anything other than a free phone consultation.

Told him we could probably capture more leads if he offered something more useful.

Maybe offer access to the video on the page if they sign up instead of showing it up front or other training videos if they signed up.

Help! Signed him up for $500 month.

I am outsourcing everything.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I can take it.

The Opt in should be above the fold, basic stuff. And in my opinion there should be a picture OR a video, so there isn't too much for the eyes to choose from, one focal point! Video should be centered! I feel like you have to choose, Video Squeeze or Copy Squeeze, too much of both hurts in my limited testing.

    Hey Pablo

Bit of a mess...but not insurmountable...

    1. Banner and logo needs to be joined better...
    2. Need a BOLD Headline?
    3. Features and benefits are missing...currently not compelling enough to sign up...
    4. Consider using Optimize Press to do the hard work for you...

    Any questions...just pm me...

    Llwyddiant!

I would definitely move some things around. Test bringing the opt in form above the fold and making the video more prominent. Make use of whitespace and other directional cues above the fold.

Not everyone is going to scroll.

You have a matter of seconds before people either say no to you or click away.

You mention..."Want to take your game to the next level?" three times.

And enter your name to gain unrestricted access. These aren't benefits. You should be telling someone what benefit they are going to be getting by giving you their closely guarded e-mail and especially phone number.

After, expert basketball instruction from Terrence Jones, list your top 3 or 4 bullet points on how these people are going to benefit from providing you with the info you want.

In my opinion your squeeze page is just fine, just try and centre everthing, also try and move your opt-in box up a little.

    I have a few suggestions.

    1) If you haven't already done so, shrink all images down without sacrificing image quality. What is the total size of this page when it is loaded? Would changing images to another format help? (ie. gif->png or vice versa)
    2) Ditch the counter at the bottom of the page
    3) Ditch the mentioning of aweber
    4) Make absolutely sure the opt in form is above the fold
    5) Use web 2.0 fields
    6) Explain what format they should enter their phone number in. XXX-XXX-XXXX or XXXXXXXXXX if they enter it either way, the form should work still.
    7) See this screenshot: 2012-11-04_2202 - somtum's library

First, what are the benefits? Taking my game to the next level and learning how to make the school team really don't make me want to optin. And so what that he's specializing in clinics, camps, academies and instruction? A lot of coaches do that. What's in it for me?

Sorry to say but your copy doesn't make anyone want to do anything but click away. A squeeze page is supposed to get someone curious enough to want to give up their name and email address to find out more of what you're offering. You need to offer benefits that will make your target market want to learn more!

On top of that, you're site doesn't look very professional at all. The headline doesn't do anything for me. Your headline should offer the BIGGEST benefit of what you are offering. Also, why is there a phone number when you are trying to build a list? That's going to confuse people at the very least and it's not going to help with getting optins.

I suggest you really take the time to learn how to write some copy or hire someone to do it for you. Also get rid of the counter and the powered by Aweber. It looks tacky! Just being honest.

I also agree that you need a video. Put up a good, no, make that a butt kickin' video of you explaining what you do and what you are offering. Video, video, video. Can't stress that enough.

Looking forward to seeing the improvements.

That aweber form is terrible, and get rid of the banner at the top so that the opt-in form is the first thing we see.

The form should be sized so that the end of the johnson box is at the same height as the red arrows.

Once you have the layout correct look at changing the text.

Agree, also at least people don't need to scroll down the mouse to see the opt-in form
