Stupid question I'm sure, but still have to ask...
Of course as we all know, that when promoting merchants' products, that they will most often provide you a variety of promotional tools other than just the link - typically speaking that is.
Now, the products I'm trying to market have to go through Amazon not the merchant's site, as they don't have their own in-house affiliate program. Plus, Amazon's page is not as feature-rich regarding what the product offers - hence my need to provide my visitors as much info as possible, to make up for what Amazon 'doesn't' have on its product page.
However, these products are kind of pricey and they have a list of features that are a mile long, containing God knows how many measurements, dimensions, numbers, facts, options, accessories, comparisons, Chinese arithmetic, Egyptian hieroglyphics, caveman drawings - you name it, they have it!
Therefore, since i really need to put as much info on my site as possible, not just a brief summary, am I allowed to 'copy and paste' the long list of features from the merchant's site, (please remember, that I can't redirect my visitors to the merchant's site for this info), or is copying and pasting in this case, a big no-no?
I realize asking them would be the prudent thing to do, but I'm just wondering if this is a common practice in general?
i look forward to your thoughts...
Thanks for listening ,
