An inside info about Google

First of all I dont know if this information is true but it make sense.

I have a friend working on Google and we were discussing the latest changes and updates.

I told him that the latest updates do not make any sense, and what Google now bring on the first 100 results have no logical explanation. and 50% of them or at least for the high value keywords are from Youtube.

he agreed and added.

the main reason behind all those updates is not (better results, or better content) Google care only about money, and some think that Google trying to improve service to maintain users and customers, but it's wrong.

Google already know that in the next decade there will not be any real competition to it's search engine, bing with all it's progress is still long way behind and there is no reason why bing could get better. So the only reason for all those updates are money.

After Facebook launched it's payper click advertizing, and the increase on PPV and other pay per impression and PPC programs, Google lost a lot of customers and the revenue from adward was decreasing so fast.

another factor was disturbing Google is that only 2% of all the traffic generated from the first page go to paid results, and %98 go to organic results.

so business start to invest on SEO for long term results. and when any website shows in the organic results on the first page, it will stop using adward.

SOOOOO. today's results could get webmasters back to adward, if you monitor the organic results for high value keywords, you will see that those results are changing every week and sometimes everyday. Youtube now also have the adwards and now it get 50% of the first results, NO website could maintain a position on the first 3 results no matter what SEO they are doing.

For me it make a sense and I can see the results... but i am not sure that it is a fact

    Uhhh... you sure about that?

All companies want and need to make money. Otherwise they wouldn't be a company and wouldn't be able to provide you the service that they do.

However, claiming that Google only cares about money... really? If there's one company in the world that doesn't need to be concerned anytime soon about money, it's probably Google. So what are these changes as of recent that prove Google could care less about our quality and only about the money?

I thought google employee have to sign non disclosure agreement, so almost impossible to get insider info.

Anyways, they can do what they want, I also have detached myself from any attachment with google search engine... I feel much better this way.

The best traffic is paid traffic, don't spend too much time on SEO, paid traffic brings you faster results.

Of course Google is going to do everything they can to make as much money as possible. Hopefully Bing can start making some headway in the future.

It's not. It doesn't even make sense. By this logic, the sites that replace the sites that dropped off page one will stop buying Adwords because they are now on page one. It would be a net gain of zero for Google.

For our customer websites, the ranking still stable

Build a good structure for website (Onpage SEO) , Don't serious about link building.

Provide quality contents are the important things you should focus on first.
Think about user experience when they visit website, Do they completed what they want?

Set up goal in google analytics can help you understand visitors behavior.
If they can't complete your goal, you have to improve your site asap.

When you focus them first, they will return to your website automatically and also recommend yours to their friends.
