Affiliate marketers, how do you go about your titles?

I know there's a general (or not so general) consensus that affiliates do not sell, that they recommend or pre-sell.

However, does that apply to titles too? Or just to content?

I ask this because I've seen affiliates who have non-hyped content but salesly free report titles such as "7 Deadly Sins of", for example.

Also, how do you go about your article titles? Are they hyped up?

Basically, I don't want to come across as an marketer who want to sell them something.

    As far as answering this question, I always relate my article titles to the keywords I am targeting.

    Not only does it help SEO, but these keywords usually engage readers rather than just a bland title

    For example I would choose: Building bigger biceps faster

    As apposed to: Doing dumbbell curls

    Yes it also applies to titles. You should be able to inform and help prospect buyers first before you offer them products or services. The bottom line here is you have to establish yourself as a guru and expert in your niche and gain their trust. Once you've are successful at this then sales will come naturally.

    hahahahaha!!!! Affiliate marketing is supposed to be the internet goldmine... as in real life, affiliate marketers are the creepy sales people who are busting a sweat for a commission they MIGHT just get. there is no real promise of success, but in theory, it sounds so-o good... that's why I'm into the affiliate business too!!! it only gets better with time but the reality is, there are more and better ways to make money online!!!!! But affilaite marketing is not as easy as it sounds, its like digging for silver in a goldmine at times!!! CAREFUL
