Niche Market Ninja Reveals $36000 keyword research system

Hey,

No, this is not another "Guru" product launch, and no I'm not trying to sell anything. Just thought it was time I gave a little something back to my fellow internet marketers.

For those that don't already know me, I'm Nick Madison, the self proclaimed "Niche Market Ninja". With a little over 6 years in the Niche Market Game and over 280 Niche websites, none of which in the "Make money online" niche, but all generating me a little over $36000 a month, I know a little about Keyword research. Trust me after the one hundredth successful niche website roll out, its takes some serious creativity to come up with new ideas for Niche websites.

So, basically I have created a couple videos demonstrating, what I believe to be a relatively simple way of finding low competition, highly profitable, keyword phrases that can easily rank on the first page of Google.

Basically, when it comes to keyword research, it is not just the tools you choose to use, but how you use those tools. The videos show the tools I use and how I use them. Most are free and one you pay for, but the function the paid for tool serves can be done manually without any need for a tool.

Thanks for all the feedback and Ratings on the blog and YouTube, I just wanted to take a quick moment to summarise exactly what I am trying to get across in my videos as I may not have communicated the main messages clearly. So here we go...

Niche website domain names that are made from your primary key phrase still has a massive impact on SEO
For best and fastest results, only pursue keyword phrases that have available domains
Use Domain name availability to drive your niche research
Secondly Check Strength of Competition to filter your keyword list
Always use [Exact] Match when using the Adwords Keyword tool

Right, so those are some of the main points I wanted to get across, also just to demo so of those great tools in the video.

Thanks so much for making those videos. Even though I have been doing this for quite some time and have many profitable sites, keyword research is one of my weakest areas so I really appreciate any help I can get! I never knew to use the exact match with the adwords tool!

Thanks Lee, glad you found something useful and especially unknown. It is the little things that make the big differences in IM. Understanding exactly what the difference between: Broad, Phrase, Exact and Negative means, can make or break a keyword phrase. Personally, I never use Broad match, Exact, is where it's at!

Click the little help above the Keyword Matching dropdown, then click on Learn more to get all the details you need about Keyword Matching.

I'm wondering what way you set-up the websites.. I've been using XSitePro2, but not sure in which way I can best possilbe take advantage of your kind video information.

Can you elaborate on this a little or is there nay chance we could talk on skype or something.. I just need a little help with this what happens after niche seletcion.

If you have not seen SKTOOL yet, that is a great place to do the step before this. I started the video knowing what General Niche I was going to take, If you do not know that, then Google's SKTOOL is a must have weapon in your arsenal.

No worries, I'll be doing a follow up video on what happens next, in fact, my blog subscribers follow along with many of my other projects and find it a great way to learn. I am very transparent when it comes to sharing information. Anyway, to quickly answer your question, which has a much longer answer, but I'll try make it quick.

I've been developing Web applications for over 10 years, thats my trade and for many of my initial years in IM I coded up all my websites using either PHP or ASP.NET (C#). Nowadays I have better things to do with my time other than writing copious lines of code (Making Real Money is one thing), fortunatly, the way things are moving in the Open Source Space, there are so many choices around CMS (Content Management Systems) and Blogs, and these platforms are incredible, not to mention the awesome Templates/Themes that are available.

My Recomendation to anyone starting out is:
1. Get a cheap web hosting account that supports Fantastico (cpanel) an example would be HostGator
2. Use Fantastico To auto install whatever web platform you want to use. Myself, at the moment it's 50\50 between Drupal (CMS) and Wordpress (Blog) This depends on the Niche (and my mood), If I'm feeling lazy, Wordpress is my best friend.

I hope this little bit of info helps in someway.

I like it! For individual look ups that is. Any applications that builds interfaces using Ajax, gets my vote, thanks for sharing. Also, just a quick note on that, Google and Check out AjaxWhois, I do mention it in the videos. Take note of the Domain Hacks it generates on the right hand side, some cool ideas if you want to be the next del.icio.us

Also, on Affiliate web site ideas, building a unique interface like AjaxWhois have done is a great idea to funnel People into the Domain Purchasing Funnel. Wish I had thought of that one!

Some people get .info and .biz sites to rank for certain niche sites, so I would not say don't use them, bottom line for me, I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole, I only ever use .info sites for redirects if I am pushing my affiliate links on web 2.0 properties, I don't ever expect them to rank (And they rarely ever do). For me, it's .com or .org or no go. However, I do a fair amount of local site projects and in those cases I use the local country domain extension.

Glad to hear, I don't buy many products as most of the real good stuff is available for free, however after I first saw Micro Niche Finder in action, I too was blown away, although, I must say I don't use it for generating keyword ideas as have never been happy with the results, as you can see in the videos, I use Adwords Keyword tool for that and then import results in MNF.

Nice videos, this is very similar to the system I use. After compiling a list of keywords I plug them into wordtracker to check exact match competition before then using a bulk domain search to narrow down the keywords and domains available.

Your method of having your domain name based on you primary keyword phase is very effective. I have always thought this was the best way. This is why I like to sell only one product on my websites. I buy a domain which matches my main keyword search phrase. This makes it much easier to target the key phrase because the whole site's content is targeting it, this also makes it much easier to rank well. For example I don't believe in having a site of say 20 ebooks each with their own page I prefer to sell only one ebook per site. Do you alway's prefer to promote one product per site or can you do more?

Thanks for the compliments, yeah, I agree with you all the way, One product, One key phrase, Key phrase in the domain and all content targeting that key phrase. It's all about domination. As soon as you start trying to hang everything off one site (Not that it doesn't work for some people), you start to complete with the Amazon's and big directories. Personally, I dont have time for that. I want to pick a Market, Dominate page 1 and 2 of google and I always do, that way I out Rank Amazon easily when I promote a niche that sells a product on Amazon.

Hi Jonathan,

Glad you asked mate, as I am sure you are not the only one with the same question. Check it out, so you use Adwords keyword tool when you know what keyword you are starting with, lets say you want to get into the Gardening Niche, so you go there and type in Gardening and away you go drilling down into the world of gardening.

BUT, when you don't have any idea of what Niche you want to get into, you dont have anything to start your search with like "Gardening", that is where SKTOOL is COOL. Follow these steps:

Go to: Search-based keyword tool
Now click the "Or see top keywords across all categories" link at the bottom of the page
Now click on a Category on the left (Any Category) lets say "Family & Community"
Bam, up pops thousands of potential Nich markets, starting of with the "bedding" niche

Get it? Don't underestimate the power of SKTOOL!

Thanks, it's only a pleasure to finally be giving something back. I have reached the point now where my network of Niche websites generates me and my family a great income and now that I am outsourcing (successfully) a lot of the daily grind work involved in niche marketing, I have more time to spend helping others who can use a little help to acheive some of the results that I know first hand are possible.

There are so many niche areas that have not even been tapped into yet, and thousands more that have only scratched the surface. I'm looking forward to getting more videos completed where I will go into every detail of how I do what I do. I will also be taking a very transparent approach to this revealing my niche websites, Theory is one thing but demonstrating things practically is the best way to teach and learn.

I use some .net domains, but my preference is .com and .org. Remember SEO is simple, Google just want things done right, so choose the right domain extension based not only on availability, but also on application. Commercial websites should be .com, .net sites should be networks and .org sites should be organizations. Yes, I know all my sites are commercial at the end of day, however they are also developed and marketed as organizations, who just so happen to have a commercial arm

I am pretty transparent about sharing stuff as well, because so many people won't act on it anyways and it is just good karma in the long run. I think I will be following you closely. I am starting to build my empire of mini-sites. Everything is starting to align (graphics, Wordpress themes, my general knowledge) and I feel a cool shift towards something bigger. Watching you just may be a huge part of that. I really appreciate it!

Over the past 6 years, I spent the first 3 years doing everything myself, now I only research all new Niche Markets that I tackle and also manage 2 permanent employees who help with web development, SEO and content creation. Only this year, for the first time, have I started outsourcing due mainly to the massive amount of work involved in getting 280+ niche websites to rank and stay ranked. I have developed a very precise, yet dynamic roadmap over the years, so having this roadmap and process documented well allows me to easily leverage other people to do the work while still maintaining the integrity of the Niche Markets Websites I launch.

Great stuff, I know what you are saying about the feeling of things all starting to line up and that feeling that something big is happening. It is such a pity that more people don't act on this stuff as the market is so huge.

One question... I, too, am an Amazon affiliate. I cannot use a brand name in my keywords or domain if I plan to link to that item on Amazon from my site, correct?

After compiling a list of keywords I plug them into wordtracker to check exact match competition before then using a bulk domain search to narrow down the keywords and domains available.

Your method of having your domain name based on you primary keyword phase is very effective. I have always thought this was the best way. This is why I like to sell only one product on my websites. I buy a domain which matches my main keyword search phrase. This makes it much easier to target the key phrase because the whole site's content is targeting it, this also makes it much easier to rank well. For example I don't believe in having a site of say 20 ebooks each with their own page I prefer to sell only one ebook per site. Do you alway's prefer to promote one product per site or can you do more?
