Default Does anyone actually find Stumbleupon Traffic to Convert?

I mean I use the strategy on many different product and affiliate sites, and see the huge traffic spikes in my Analytics reports...

but of the hundreds of visitors that come to the site, I find the conversion rates to be pretty poor (in various niches etc)

Sure it could be the pages themselves, but is it also the fact that really many people using StumbleUpon are just bored and clicking through sites?

Hence the high bounce rates and few seconds they remain on sites?

Thoughts?

I've never had any good experiences with StumbleUpon - on one of my niche sites the Adsense income virtualy disappeared once the site started getting hammered with StumbleUpon traffic.

Sig not working today - too hung over...

stumbleupon treats one of my sites well because it is entertainment based. I also get stumblers entering their email address. The conversion is lower than other traffic, but I get more of it

also, yea there is a high bounce rate with stumblers. but the important thing to remember is that if they thumbs your site up, stumble is likely to send them to one of your future posts that you submit to stumble.

so yea, they may not bookmark you, but stumble will remember if they liked you, and send them more content from you. I found this out from my analytics.

Yep, you really have to target your site for this kind of surfer, the younger generation with a minimum attention span. I have heard that arcade sites and the like monetise well with them.

Or even a zango cash type site where the user must complete an action to get access to something like pirated videos.

I'm sure Digitalpoint has plenty of people who know how to monetise this kind of traffic.
