    First impression:
    "beware of Greeks bearing gifts"

    Gift 1:
You start by using the negative, but then you commit the act of the negative. I illustrate: (picture a captive, sitting in a chair, arms and legs bound, and having been beaten horribly for some time previous to you entering) "Hey Joe, I know you've just been beaten badly..." Then you hit him too.

If you're gonna sympathize (use the negative), then bring/highlight the benefit that sympathy appeals to. Perhaps that was the intent by suggesting the free online tool? Unclear to me. Maybe I'm just slow.

Gift 2: 366? Really? Why not 1 million? Even if someone was bored enough to come up with 366 ways to drive traffic and turn it into an ebook, how practical is it? How many will you use? Tell me you can smell that too.

I'd rewrite the report with a handful of those methods, and create a powerful headline about "7 hidden" or "Top 15 untapped" methods. I think they call that an information gap. create one. then exploit it. Heck, you could make a WSO out of it

Gift 3: might as well say "Gift 3: Join My Email List!"
I'd dress up the value in gift 3. Instead of "tips" perhaps something like "proven methods." Could also personalize the "A Free Newsletter" to "Our Free Newsletter." Lastly, "make money from home online" seems redundant, unless you are targeting specific keywords.

If I missed the point, then disregard!

    Hi Jeff

No personal branding, and why would I want more "free reports"?

Here's my current safelist copy and advert - converting at ~ 3% across ~ 25 sites.

Give the people something that will help them, but well done on realising the most important thing is to get people onto your personal mailing list.

You've asked this question probably in a wrong forum. Here many people are veteran and they became used to with dealing other marketers and buyers. So, they don't like the word "FREE" anymore. Another reason for this is that people in warriorforum knows there is actually nothing FREE in this world.

Anyways, the universal truth is, FREE works. Use it. No problem. But just be natural.

The only thing that can tell you if your email copy is working or not is test. If the link under your email body gets clicks, then it's working. No, then it's not. Change it.

*** Tip: Copy someone's style. Make someone a model. If you are a beginner, close your eyes and stop being innovative at the beginning.** Remember, people are living on IM. So, follow someone professional. You won't lose. Just opt in to someone experienced and follow what type of email he/she's sending you. Don't copy-paste. Just take the idea and follow the model.

The first solo seller I bought solo from, didn't like my squeeze page. It was filled with way too many FREEs. But his list loved it. I used to get 55% to 59% opt in rate with that. Even I saw many people who didn't like the page opting in and taking my FREE gift.

So, follow a model and test test test.

    Hope that helps.

It's none of my business, but please tell me that you're not going to try to promote Ameriplan to lists built through safelist traffic ...
