I have an youtube video with 17k views and 2 weeks ago was ranked in the first page, 3th position (with 5k natural views on that moment)... Last days i buyed 12 k free views, i received those views but when I checked the keyword, I couldn't find my video on the first page any more.. now is on page 4.. I guess the main reason is audience retention. Audience retention play a huge role for ranking.

Check roughly what time most people stop watching your video (by checking your average view length) and just before that time have an annotation pop up with a link to another one of your videos so that if they are bored and thinking about quitting they'll maybe click on your link instead.

Another great retention idea is to use an end slate. You can create them easily in KeyNote and then use your other videos in the final edit. After you upload, annotate the videos and include a nice, big SUBSCRIBE button. Something that takes time, but will really help over time.

I think you should try to grab the attention of the viewers at the start. make sure that your first 15 seconds or your "intro" is very amusing or catchy. cause if not, when viewers' attention is not catched, they just click away to another video.
