Hello, I am new to the forum as well as internet marketing. I stumbled across this forum and decided to join as it seems like a good place to learn. As stated, I am new to internet marketing, blogging etc. I have done some research here and there but really am looking for an a-z guide if such a thing exists, something that will show me how to set up a webiste, what plug-ins to use, how to do seo, how to get backlinks, build lists etc. Is there a book or a program out there like this? I appreciate any help, just trying to get started in a good direction.

Hi there I know of a program that does all these for you. It provides training from everything from setting up a site, free marketing strategies (e.g. social media, forum, blogging, seo), paid marketing strategies (ppc, ezine, solo ads) and has video seminars every week to teach its members.

It is very newbie friendly too. It has squeeze pages, websites and banners set up for you to give you a head start in your IM business

pm me if you are interested

Welcome. You should join the WAR ROOM portion of the forum, if you can spare the dough. It's a great value, especially considering the advice, tools, and even complete plans you'll find there. Some of them have even been sold as WSOs. It is literally a wealth of info.

Welcome to the forum. Always be learning. There is alot to learn, but i'm confident that you can make money online with only 20% of knowledge. Use the "search" button at the top of this page and type in "keywords" that describe the information that you're looking for.

I suggest learning list building as it will be something you will need from the start. You can begin building your list with just bare essentials and very little investment.

There are a few core fundamentals that I would personally start with.

    1) Research (Technology changes every minute. But these other 4 fundamentals are somewhat constant).
    2) Copywriting
    3) List building
    4) Affiliate marketing
    5) Driving traffic

Things you need to acquire right now:
    1) Web host
    2) Squeeze page
    3) Autoresponder
    4) Some type of tracker
    5) Traffic

I would skip SEO if you're just getting started, just because, for me, I like money today and don't want to rely upon SEO to do it.

SEO isn't a beginners game. (It's something you should ideally outsource). Especially, if time is of the essence.

    Just my $.02

Just like said above, start small. Make some money to pay for the WF membership. Keep moving up. I'd start with taking small jobs that fit into your strengths. There's always a huge demand for writing. If you're more into the technical side of things, start by learning html/css. That being said, it's very hard to just give someone career direction based off of a few sentences. Just jump in and work hard!

Thank you all for the advice. I plan to check out the War Room. I found a couple of websites that are informative for newbies, so I should be off and running in no time! Thanks again for taking the time to reply and for the advice, it is much appreciated.

The best product by far that I've used for SEO and getting 6k hits a month to my blog is called Bring the Fresh by Kelly Felix and Mike Long. You can see my review of the product here: Bring the Fresh Review 2012 - Making Money Online - YouTube

    Hope that helps!
