Need Graphics Software

Hi everyone.

Just Robert here!

Hey, can anybody recommend a free or relatively inexpensive 3D software that will do e-covers for cd & video? I have looked at several today looking for one I can do a cover for some audios, and I haven't had any luck I have d/loaded about 10 and uninstalled every one of them.

If anyone has any good ideas, they would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, gotta go. Off to church. I'll check back later.

Thanks

Robert

Did you try Fireworks. I am sure you can get free trial downloadrd from Adobe site. Well they use to have free trials when it was owned by macromedia.

Yes there is a free trail, but kinda pointless if you dont have money to buy it. I think GIMP is same as photoshop and its free.

Photoshop cs4 (well its not supposed to be free) But there are some awesome actions for the program. I have bought 2x action packs for it and there are many different E-covers, books and DVD cases you can use

I've got cs3 and love it.
Well worth the money. There is so much more that you can do besides covers.

If you're doing graphics work on a regular basis then you're going to be saving a LOT of money by getting a quality program like photoshop and spending a little time learning to use it.
The little money up front and time to learn will pay off big time the next time you need any graphics edited or created. not to mention that it puts you in complete control of your graphics instead of always depending on someone else.

For free one I think you can try GIMP and Pain.net. You can create a 3d ecover using thouse free software, But the result is not as good as when you are using a photoshop

        Hey again, folks!
        Robert here.

Wow, I really appreciate everyone's input on my question. I had always heard if you wanted to know anything, just go ask the Warriors!

Well, I guess I know now. Thanks a bunch.

One thing I did forget to mention is that I am running Windows Vista, and that really puts a damper on Photoshop. To my understanding the older programs give problems with Vista. Unless you upgrade to the newer ones.

And I am planning to purchase later, just right know it is not one of my priorities. This is just a small project that I am working on, and wanted to see what I could do with it first.

But I will check out a couple of these others. I haven't checked them yet. Especially GIMP.

Well, again, thanks folks. I appreciate your prompt responses.

At least I know now where to go for answers.

        Have a GREAT night!

        Thanks
        Robert
