Yeah, the 3 most important things with video marketing (in my opinion) is to be:

1. Funny
2. Interesting
3. Lively

I.e. You have to have a distinct personality.

You even talk about comedy videos in your video, but you don't express this in your instructional video.

Put some emotion into your talking and you'll be amazing

Don't worry about sounding camp either, they wont care if they're getting value-packed content
