Android/Apple app.

About a year ago I converted some of our video golf coaching in iPhone & iPad Apps.

I built lite versions with a few videos inside (still ensuring they were of good value to the user) with links to up-sell and buy the full version

I also built other pages within the App, which allows the user to visit our blog and social media sites, also we have a link to show one of our membership sites, there's also good use of the App feed showing the best selling 30 apps of the day...I get a small kick back if some buys one of these recommended Apps from within my app.

I also made a point of advertising all my other Apps inside of each

The good thing about Apple is iTunes Stores have a near global reach and to date I think we've sold into around 65 different countries

The bad things about Apple is there are millions of Apps and like all products to make real money it's all about effective marketing.

Some days we have good days...some days we have bad days.

I chose Apple over Android at the time, for no other reason that Apple has access to millions more credit Card registered users in its Database...not sure if that's the case today but I would suspect it is.

If I make another App, I will make sure that it's free to download, is small enough in size to download at device and make sure there are plenty of upsells inside.

Make good use of tools like urban airship as well...that's modern day email marketing...
