A question for all the article marketers: say you found a good niche, and your research turned up a couple of really excellent long tail keywords (high search numbers, relatively low competition). How many articles would you submit to EZA incorporating the precise keyword phrase in the title? As many as you logically can and still have the titles/contents of each article be unique? Or do you only do a certain amount using a particular keyword phrase, and then start rearranging the phrase for variety?

I would submit to all the major article directories with PR of 4 and higher. I would also make sure I had a good mix of related keywords in the article.

Based on that I would only make 2 versions for Google and then another 2 versions for other directories with each directory getting 2 versions. You can also use additional versions on a blogger blog, wordpress blog, squidoo lens...etc as these will also rank well. This allows you to dominate the top listings in Google with your submtted articles. Tim

| IMHO, I think the duplicate content "boogy man" is mostly hype. Even Google says it does not bother too much with the issue of duplicate content. Duplicate content - Webmasters/Site owners Help |

Remember - don't just write articles, write blog posts and syndicate, press releases optimized and submit to PRWeb, etc...create short video and submit to video directories optimized for keyword phrase, etc...That way you can get several top spots with different types of content. Jeff |

Hi zcx, If I was you, I'd stop and ask myself who I'm writing the articles for. Am I writing the articles for people so they view me as a credible source of information and ultimately visit my website and possibly purchase my product. Or am I writing articles so the search engines might possibly rank my article high enough in the listings to get me some traffic. Of course it's nice to get ranked in the search engines, but if you focus on developing a well rounded marketing campaign that includes your articles, written for people, distributed on all the main article directories, posted on your blog, pinged, and possibly sent out as a press release, I think you'll surprise yourself and find you end up on the search engines by default. And at the same time, you've shown yourself as an expert to your target audience. I would shift your focus from keywords to content. It's worked for me since 2001 ![]() Talk again soon. Enjoy your day! Terry |

1 - Ezinearticles.com 2 - On a website 3 - on a blog 4 - In another article directory 5 - On another blog 6 - Finally another website. Not saying that can happen now but this was the case early last year. Tim

I know this for sure...you only need ONE article for a certain long tail keyword with no optimized competition, on a high page rank site in order to get a number 1 position. Then go find another keyword for a new title.

I do agree with your recommendation of moving on to the next keyword phrase which is where outsourcing comes in to occupy the other spots for the previous keyword phrase. Tim
