What are some good ways to promote a blog post via Youtube?

Im looking for some ideas to produce a video to link to each of my blog posts(one video per post)...So far I've come up with producing whiteboard presentations for each article. Perhaps give a summary of the article with some teasers to get their interest peaked.

What would be a good sales pitch to get people to read/share your blog post? Something easy and fast, yet professional.

    1) A good headline
    2) A dedicated and similar Youtube video for each individual blog post
    3) I wouldn't do a teaser.

Besides a headline, what are you suggesting to put in as content?

An entire summary of article? Or just a simple fast headline, making a bunch of 20 second videos?

This is really subjective. If your article sucks, and is not interesting, then no, don't do that.
The first thing you need to be 100% sure of, is the content in the blog. And honestly, it seems like you are doing things backwards. I have done videos FIRST, then the blog second. That way you can test the market, and see if it even WANTS the information thats on your blog. Or at least promote the blog on free/high traffic sites first. If the blog doesn't do its job, then theres no point promoting it.

If the information is truely unique, and people demand it, it will work.

But I would suggest staying away from a bunch of 20 second videos. My videos are around 3 minutes long, and I put a few hours into each one. I even consider 3 minutes a little short sometimes. Sometimes my videos are 10 minutes long. Its better to spend a lot of time perfecting things, than half assing everything which causes you to lose more time in the future.

I always overdo things first, then move backwards later. To see what I can get away with (its called "elimination before automation"). And I'll be honest your mindset alone is worrysome. Don't think of it in terms of throwing a bunch of crap at the wall and seeing what sticks. Instead, make 1 high quality video, put time into it, then spin it in different ways if you need to. I also can't remember the last time I watched a 20 second video on youtube then clicked the link under the video.

Make sure those keyword phrases are in the title.... and then you may have to stuff the vids with fake views so you can get on top of the YT search

      • Obviously, you want to create videos that people will actually want to watch.
      • Making a "how-to" video for something related to your niche can be a great way to gain exposure.
      • Included a link to your blog in your profile, but also in the description of every video you post.
      • Additionally, you can use YouTube's text overlay feature to tell viewers to visit your blog for more content. This tells viewers about your website without seeming too much like an advertisement.

An effective video would be one that engages the viewer and wants them to find out more about what you're promoting.

Have you tried to put yourself in front of a camera and review your article?

Make an introduction about what topic you wrote, make some comments, you can also show some screenshots of the actual post in your blog, and invite the people to visit your site.

You can do it like a TV host or in a more fun way to engage people.

You can create a Youtube channel and put all your articles reviews in there. Is like you were curating your own content.

A catchy headline would be important but also if you are wanting to drive traffic from YouTube then focus on targeting keywords that get a nice amount of views.

Use the YouTube keyword tool and/or the Google keyword tool to identify the keywords that get plenty amount of views in Exact match so that you know that your keywords will bring in traffic.

From there you can create your video around these keywords and then post the link to your blog. Then rank you video.

This way you'll be sure to get exposure and make your videos worth your time.

we link this to hub pages, wordpress, and weebly and make sure its SEO'd properly and blog comment for backlinks and backlinks to those backlinks. I cannot tell you how well this work.

Work from the back in, not try to blast your links out.

Create a short brief presentation about the article itself.

Be as unique as possible and grab massive attention as much as you can through the video!

  • You could make the video part of your blog post. For instance a blog post with the title: What is the best microfone for making videos? or: How to record sound for videos with Audacity?

You could make a video reviewing different microfones, put it in your blog post and also on YouTube. The video gets views and a backlink from your blog, therefore gets better rankings on YouTube and you get visitors from YouTube to your blog.

Or you could make tutorial videos. If people are really interested in these tutorials they might read/share your blog post.

Actually, it would be good if your video can attract the interest of other people. And doing a teaser is a good idea, but make it exciting (same intensity as you have). A video will be successful when the creator and it's viewer understand or meet in the same level of excitement (or relate each other). It's kinda different if you can get your viewers heart. Try thinking of something that might link you and to your viewer.

But anyways, if you want to make it easier for you try promoting it from different social medias or ask friends to relay it for you from one friend to the other (like creating a network). I hope you'd figure out soon what would be the best solutions.
