WSO buyers into list?

Hello,

How can I automatically at WSO buyers onto my list or is it forbidden? I know I can see their e-mails through paypal, but is there any other way to get them automatically to my list.

Thanks!

Well, I won't mention any names, but if you go to the WSO section, and follow some of the payment links, note what payment button is being used. I will bet that most of them have a built in process to collect emails during the sales funnel.

Thanks. However, if I'm planning to use the warriorplus system then is it wise to redirect the buyers after the paypal payment to landing page where they have to put e-mail in order to receive the product?

I don't know any marketer who does not request an email opt in at the point of sale in some way especially as WSO's are mainly for lead generation. If you don't like the sales process you went through just unsubscribe.

Using single opt-in is common, and many people do it, WP automatically adds people to your list, in the sales funnel.

There have been hundreds of discussions about this by many, many successful Warriors, and the PRO's and Con's of it....

There is no force involved, its just a go with the flow kinda thing...

                  Of course it's unacceptable.

PayPal think it's so unacceptable that they'll close down the account of a vendor for pulling this trick, if a customer complains.

There's no problem with opting people in automatically, and there's no (huge) problem with telling them openly, before they pay, that they're going to have to opt in to get product delivery (though some won't like even that).

But to require them to opt in, not having told them beforehand, is actually changing the terms of the contract of sale after payment. And "naughty" doesn't even begin to describe that!! :p

Okay.... but that's not what I read in his post, did he edit it out?

From what's in his post now, it does not read as if he is forcing anything.

It just reads as if he wants to be able to get people on his list "automatically" during payment process.

Maybe I just misinterpreted the post?

He says "automatically" which is what happens when you use a single opt-in using WP. So, that's why I replied the way I did.

I take automatically as automatic and not forced. Am I missing something that he edited out?

What? He is talking about adding their email automatically to his list, which is very, very common and automatic in WP

Well, I have had 0 refunds on 4 products, and no bad reviews thankfully. A lot of that depends on HOW you treat those on your list, your product quality, customer service etc....

I guess technically you can add them manually since you've established a business relationship with them so you're e-mails aren't considered spam, but I agree with Steve. You should have an opt-in as part of your sales funnel. Get aweber.

Not sure what your product or offer is but it is very common to ask for email for delivery and updates, etc.. Whether it's pre or post purchase, ask for the optin. An IM product/offer/launch without a list (or attempting to build one) is pointless. Go grab an Aweber account.

    Good luck in your WSO
