Do you guys actually make money with Wordpress plugins?

    The only way you make money with WP plugins is by selling them. A plugin is only a tool to help your WP site do something. If the content is rubbish the plugin will work in vain!

        No magic at all. I just sell the products which I wrote for myself. It's very easy to sell some useful thing. I'm a bad marketer, and I can't sell something that no one relay needs for. There are people who can do it, but that's not me.

    You mean by selling them or by all the plugins that say they'll make you blah blah blah amount of money?

    If by selling, have one developed on a site like Elance and sell it as a WSO. The trick is to build plugins that do things that people need or want.

      Need more context to give a proper reply...
      • I don't sell plugins so no money there...
      • The plugin by itself normally won't generate money automatically...
      • By incorporating the plugin (often time with several specific chosen plugins) with the blog/site for the purpose of traffic generation, conversion, testing, and tracking with a specific business plan and model, then yes - I do actually make money from it. (But even then, often time there are alternative solution.)

    I bought wp plugin in wso section sometimes ago and they did a god job. After they make enough sales, they sell the plugin website and sold for $5000.

    If you are UNETHICAL, the best way to make money off plugins is the info they generate through text clues. I'm not going to say anymore since I don't want to encourage certain people. But yes, you can make a BOATLOAD of cash from WP plugins just not in the most obvious ways........

    Plugin is just a tool that helps you in the process, but you can't make money just from one plugin. Only if you decide to sell it.
