HOw to get real traffic to my blog

Hello!

I know that having a blog is the best way to start an online business. For me it's really great because I like writing. I have been posting on the blog and doing a lot of reading about blogs and internet affiliate marketing. This Forum is really good. There is so much useful information about the internet and great ways to market.
Well I have a blog and I don't know how to generate the quality traffic to my website. There are free ways that I have tried, that is what I do on my weblog.
But the thing is that i have only had a few Google hits and a lot of the traffic that I have, I generated it myself.
How can I get free and target traffic of willing buyers who want the products and services in my niche.
Do I have to wait around until my site is bigger???????

If you want lots of Google hits, you need to have very good back-links. This means backlings from .edu and .gov sites.

Liking writing is a great start but for your blog to become successful, you have to blog with SEO in mind. Find low competition keywords with decent traffic in your niche and come up with eye-grabbing blog posts. Build 'natural'-looking links using Web 2.0 and guest posts for your blog posts. Experiment with themes and you're on your way to making some $$$$$. Also, pump your site with A DIVERSE TRAFFIC MIX. Here's 50 of them: Secrets To Effective Forum Posting | free website traffic

Also important to remember is keyword relevancy. Domain name, title tags, article titles, and keywords within your articles all need to be related closely to each other.

I find that commenting works extremely well - especially forum commenting. The problem is that it is time consuming and takes a ton of energy to do. Another way to get traffic is to do the social networking thing or you can work on getting your site ranked in google.

I would give you another advice, it is to keep on writing on your blog and ignore the backlinks and other stuff. Most people advising this are newbies either trying to sell something, to make you visit something or just because they are repeating what they've seen everywhere from other newbies and sellers, on forums.

So what I would advice you if you're looking for free traffic only, is to keep on writing on your blog, but also one thing you need to have right now is:
    google analytics
If you haven't installed it, then you need to do that right now before anything else.
Then you can go back at writing..
But after a while, like one week or two, log in google analytics and find the list of search queries which bought you the small traffic you're talking about.
You should have at least a dozen of them, take the top 3 and write new posts with the exact query. Of course the queries will be related to something you already have on your blog otherwise they would not have ended on your website, but still, find a way to talk again about it by answering the query with precision. Do this for the top 3 or top 5 queries that bought you traffic already.
Then go back to writing your blog your usual way and then one week or two after do the same, find the top 5 queries and write about it with the exact query in your post title.

If you take this habit you'll see your traffic will grow in several directions with what people are actually looking for, and the other posts you do as part of your normal writing will add opportunities to bring in new traffic that you will find again in google analytics the next week, etc.

Do that with regularity and you'll see results.

Waste your time doing backlinking by posting comments, forum posts, etc.. and you'll end up nowhere..

Of course some others won't agree with me, they know so much better :-)

Try to reach your target market by visiting and commenting blogs or forum post that discuss about same business or simply related niche. There you have good chance of getting good traffic.

YouTube is an excellent way to get traffic if you have the ability to record. Nothing fancy, just using the YouTube keywords tool, target some keywords around the topic you're shooting for, then link to your blog (or a specific post) in the description. Rinse and repeat...

    Good luck, man!

Guest posting is great technique to attract traffic to your blog. Choose blogs that have high traffic and related to your blog for getting max result. So your guest posts must be high quality, readable, copyscape 100% and no error grammar, so bloggers will accept it.

You have a plethora amount of options available to you for traffic. You probably wont be doing paid advertising. I suggest you get started by participating in forums in your niche, and be sure to post everyday to your blog, and ping your blog posts.

      Hi,

I would suggest to write quality articles that solves a specific problem for people.

If you are writing targeting a keyword, make sure the keyword is in sync with your article and it flows well.

Often times when I come across articles or blog posts that are written for search engines and not the reader, I will loose interest to read the article further or click the link on the resources box.

Having to much focus on keyword makes the article less compelling to read. I would suggest not more than 1% keyword density for your blog posts or articles.

The key is write useful article that will benefit the reader and build relationship.

Just publish quality contents which provide value for visitors, and don't care too much about bringing in traffic. After some time, you will gain authority steadily.

Decent content in your blog in your selected field shows you actually know what you are talking about, and that can be very valuable. As to the .gov and .edu backlinks, good luck getting those they aren't the easiest to obtain.

Start with all free traffic strategies, videos, quality forum and blog posting and articles + submissions as a few of the best examples. Organize your time so you spend a little bit of time everyday doing some of the above. Then focus on building a list..have things to give away to people if they sign up, it might be a report, short video or something. Marketers that succeed all have these things in common: A set goal, knowledgable in their niche/s, have drive, resourcefulness and perseverence. Keep at it and before you know it presto your there!

I think the best ways (that also works for me) for free traffic, write great quality contents and submit these to article directories such as ezine, articlesnatch, goarticles, articlesbase, articleblast all these linking to your money page and make sure to have different versions of it you can download a spinner software for free. You can also submit these to web 2.0 such as typepad, blogger, wordpress, squidoo, hubpages, tumblr. Plus a check out related blogs to your targeted market that you can comment on and allows you to leave a link to your site. But make sure that when you leave a comment it is relevant to the post.
