Affiliate site, made money, started working on it and can't earn.

Sorry for such a long title, tried to be descriptive.

So pretty much I made this site just over a year ago. Worked on it for two months and then didn't have time to work on it after that. Forgot about it for about 6-8 months. Checked it this past summer and had made 25 bucks off it.

Realizing I had made money with ZERO updates or contributions in that short few months, I've decided to put time back into it. And then forgot about it. And now I'm trying to put time back into it.

I've made $25 bucks. I spent about $50 on this site and another (that I haven't updated in a while). I NEED to make part-time money off this and I'm sure I can. I've only maybe had about 1100 hits in a year.. and the MAJORITY of that is from "EasyHits4U" in the past month or two.

Any suggestions?

Start an SEO campaign and Social campaign. I'd need to know a bit more about the site, program your an affiliate for, etc... to get more specific than that.

Send me a PM with details and I'll help you out as much as I can.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but...

Sites don't need updates to make money - they need traffic. So stop ignoring this site that shows it makes money and work to get traffic to it. With free traffic exchange traffic coming that converts, imagine what you could do if you worked to get targeted traffic =)

No need to apologize for that -- I'd much rather a title that actually tells me what you want, than the more typical "Help me!" or something else completely vague.

You'll likely get more replies and more helpful replies with a specific title like this. Wish more people would do that.

Are buying credits / impressions on a Traffic Exchange site considered good investments?

Obviously if the traffic is targeted to my specific niche then I will convert better however does anyone have any experience with buying traffic from a TE or can lend any suggestions? Or should I focus on alternative traffic methods (blog commenting, forum posting, etc.)

Its amazing you made any money at all with Traffic Exchange easyhits4u. As mentioned above, you need to generate traffic to your site. My recommendation: fiverr traffic gigs. These gigs can include. bookmarking blasts, creating youtube videos and buying views, comments, likes with links to your site, content distribution platforms, facebook promotions, twitter blasts, and so on. Just stay away from TE's. They are an extinct dinosaur. When was the last time you saw a dinosaur?

To clarify: I actually made the money before I started clicking on EasyHits. The money was a very random, shocking surprise haha which inspired me to try and promote the site harder.

And this is going to sound crazy - but I did see something on the news not too long ago about a large bat-like/dinosaur-esque, huge creature. I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw it - on TV, online, in a dream.. but funny you mentioned that about dinosaurs !

    Wow
Traffic exchanges. Where I started out way back in 1997. When TE was cool and made money. Its funny now coz they are probably so far left behind. It would not suprise me if they are profitable again with everyone gone from them except beginners.

Your best bet friend. Is to go back to the day where you made the sales and try figure out how the sale arrived on your site. Perhaps a keyword the used in a search or a referring website. If this was the source of the sale well then you should concentrate on where the sale came from and try scale that source up.
By doing some backlink building and SEO on the site for the same keyword.
