how do I make 100k a year by selling an ebook?

I have really awesome information in terms of a 'FAT LOSS EBOOK' I am working on which now.

I am also planning to set up adsense and donations in the website which would be enriched with articles on popular topics.

The question is how do I market it to be a top notch seller without too much financial investment?

This may sound silly but any help is appreciated.

$100k works out at around $275 a day.

If you sell a $50 ebook and have maybe a dozen
active affiliates each making just one sale per day
then you've achieved your target.

Alternatively, put all the effort in yourself and you
need just six sales per day.

John's hit the nail on the head. Break it down into daily chunks of income to calculate what you need to sell and or the affiliates need to sell to reach your goal. Those numbers are definitely achievable. Give away a good portion of the sales to affiliates and you'll have them promoting your product in droves. I have my own product and the affiliates do a great job of selling it for me, it couldn't be any easier.

That is quite a big challenge for you. Anyhow, you also have a great idea in mind. You can do a lot of article marketing for your ebooks, hence you can also create a perfect sales page that can be more alluring for the affiliates. Give them also a good offer so that they can be attracted on what you can give them, with that they will also work hard so that you can gain more revenue as well.

Lots of solid advice in here!

Reverse engineering like this is essential is you want to hit specific goals. Wanting to do 100K in sales a year can leave you feeling lost, but if you decide on a product and a price, you can quickly see what you need to do each day.

By the way, if you create another $50 ebook, then each of your 2 ebooks only has to do half the work to reach 100K. Or better still, if you create a backend product that's $100, your 100K target just got a *lot* easier to hit.

I agree with BLogBrowser. If you want to make the big dollars you have to offer your customers ways to give you more money. The way to do that is to provide different products and price points all related to their interest.

Have the low price, mid price, high price, exclusive access, and of course monthly subscription. Ryan Deiss talks about turning 4 sales per day into a 6 figure business. Even at a low price having continuity can get you to 6 figures with only the 4 sales/day.

If your wanting to make big money without paying to much then you need to do it like the big dogs do it and rank for keywords. Learn how to rank in the search engines and rank for long tail keywords and you will start generating targeted free traffic.

Of course there are many other ways of producing sales through JV partners and Adwords etc. But if you want ever lasting traffic you just rank for the keywords with your site.

So how do you do this? Well you need to create a site that is SEO and have content on the site targeting your keywords your trying to rank for. Then start building backlinks and get tons of them using anchor text with your keyword your trying to target. Now you cant target weight loss but there are still several long tails that you can compete with. I know several people making 40k plus a month with adsense alone not counting their other advertising income just buy ranking for keywords and using blogger blogs. I am on my way there myself and whats crazy is how easy it can be done if you just put the effort and time into it. If you have anymore questions just PM and I will send you in the right direction.

There are dozens upon dozens of ways to achieve this, here's one way:

1. Market research (this includes keyword research and competitive analysis).

2. Create your lead product.

3. Create your higher ticket, back-end (which could simply be your e-book with added content, audios, slides, interviews, etc.).

4. Have at least 10 affiliate products that you promote as part of your back-end sales process.

5. Increase conversions.

6. Increase distribution (this includes obtaining affiliates, not just using paid adveritsing, SEO, SEM, Web 2.0, free publicity, etc.).

7. Wash, rinse, repeat until you achieve your numbers....

8. Almost forgot the critical component: virtually everything you do should have two elements:

a. Viral

b. Obtaining contact information (most common is e-mail addresses for your list, membership site, forum, etc.).

This is how you do it:

1. Get an account with Aweber

2. Set up a squeeze page

3. Drive traffic to squeeze page with Google Adwords

4. Build a relationship with your list.

5. Sell them your ebook.

6. Create more ebooks and sell to your list.

N.B. Make sure you chose a market (or Niche) that allows for 'product laddering'. You know, a market where you can sell a $7 ebook, then a $17, then $27 - I think you get the idea.

That my friend is how you make $100K a year with an ebook.

Of course, in between all those steps, lie a myriad of things to master, such as copywriting for your emails, tweaking for your google ads. But don't let that put you off. $100K a year is worth the effort.

Do you have a list? If not, I would write an article about your niche, maybe use part of your ebook. Make it quality and full of good content. You want them to come back for more.

Set up a squeeze page.

Post in forums in your niche, putting the url to your squeeze page in your signature.

Join giveaway events..you can build a great list by participating in giveaways.

Give the article away in exchange for them joining your list. Then promote your ebook to your list. Once you have a list, you'll have someone to promote to.

Keep in mind that you need to treat your list members like gold. They will be your lifeline to sales and promotion.
