So far...nothing appreciated

Hi everyone, I'm new to warrior forum. I think it's great, just the thing to help me. So, it has been about 6 weeks now since I started my website. I have been tutored (cost $1400) and have content, keywords, search engines have it , there's good products on there and I,m now trying to do backlinks. Plus got a fan page on FB and am tweeting. I'm exhausted and am getting nowhere...Any ideas ??

If you're waiting for organic traffic it will take longer than 6 weeks. If you use paid traffic and have a high converting offer you can see results sooner. But if you're only relying on search engine traffic you need be patient.

As long as you choose a niche and keywords you can rank for (not a lot of competition since you're just getting started) just keep plugging away at it. You'll get there. On the other hand, if you're doing all the right things and not getting anywhere you need to evaluate what you're doing and find what's holding you back.

SEO is one way to go, it may be time consuming but it's a great way to get traffic. Definitely keep at it and learn how it all works while at the same time, getting results!

First of all, it is great that you took action and you have decided to start and do something, but you must be patient and keep optimizing your website and keep building high quality backlinks and wait for the results.

As it has been said, patience is key. Depending on what you are trying to promote, you could really start to focus on building some social network traffic. I know you have an FB fan page and you tweet, but do you interact with your followers. Have you built a community that follows you and is interested in what you are sharing?

Seo takes a few months to get absorbed well. Besides, you should not publish more than 3-5 articles a week, spaced out.

You cannot expect results overnight so don't feel like you're "going nowhere".

Let me suggest that with your site that you actively focus every day on:

    1) adding new content to your site (focusing on relevant keywords) adding to your end users' experience.

    And

    2) diversifying your backlinks using a variety of platforms....Social media/2.0 sites are great but dont overlook the multitude of platforms out there such as web directories, high PR third party sites, and video marketing....And that's justjust the tip of the iceberg....There's much more to explore.

Any site that you establish has to be treated as a work in progress...NEVER rest once your site is established....The reality is that you're just getting started!

You are getting somewhere because you're learning!

Give the SEO some time to work, keep learning and growing.

      Your knowledge is priceless.
      • Create a site similar to yours and flip it!
      • Build one for someone else with your new skills
      • Advertise your service on here (blog with 5 articles, SEO'd etc $xxx)
I tell you what....if you sell your skills here, I'll host your first site on my servers for your first customer for nothing! I sell hosting but for your first client...bingo!

      Getting somewhere now?

  • A good way to build high quality backlinks is to submit guest posts to sites/blogs in your niche. Look for high pr blogs that accept guest posts, take a look at some of their post to get an idea of the style, length etc and come up with an idea for a post. Approach the blog owner with your post idea, giving an outline and if they are agreeable then either write a post or outsource the actual writing of the content. Just make sure that you only submit high quality, original content otherwise it's going to get rejected and it's unlikely that the blog owner will want to deal with you again. Not sure what niche you're in but you can find a large list of sites in numerous niches that accept guest posts at this url - Guest Blogging Sites

    Just curious...
'tutoring' at a cost of 1400 seems like a pretty steep climb- maybe the tutor should step up the tutoring, no?

The only information you're given is the cost. How can you state this is steep since you do not know what was included in the tutoring?

      To the OP (original poster)

Think of the amount of time it takes to begin to make a profit in an offline business. You'll make money faster due to less expense online, but the procedure is very similar.

Sadly this is the way marketing is taught today....ass backwards. You can have a billion back links and various other high priced bells and whistles......but it's all for NOT if your offer sucks.

A great offer can trump a lot. A bad one can't usually be saved despite how much money you continue to pump into the bottomless well.

Make sure what YOU ARE SELLING IS SOMETHING PEEPS REALLY WANT.

If not......you'll end up just another statistic....and frankly that's sad to me.

        Best of luck 2 u.

        Stay Legendary:

Agreed the stated information is the cost and not much more.
        But...
The fact that someone who has paid that kind of money is now posting about it on WF seeking help says a lot, no?

My point being, 1400 is a lot of money and it seems to me (personal opinion/feeling) that a mentor paid at that level would be where I would look for answers. Not a free forum.

It would be helpful if you provided a link to your website so we can offer any pointers.

Also, are you building an email list?

    Yes.

First, read what Vegas Vince said about the offer. That's just about everything, and hopefully your mentor made sure you have a good offer. No way for me to tell. But if your offer is not good, ask for your money back.
I would have helped you for half that and you'd be happening. No kidding.

If you want to do the SEO thing. Fine. Screw it, though.. you're waiting for them to come to you. People are telling you to be patient and wait... plant a garden, etc. Screw that, too.

Go to the traffic. Go out there and get in their face.

There's PPC.. then there's PPC. It's the crap, so to speak. Not hard to learn, but you need to learn. Google Perry Marshall. He's the legend. Taught me.

I don't know your niche. But maybe solo ads. Research them. You can advertise in ezines. You're at FB? There's FB PPC, send to your page, get them on your list. There are other good PPC platforms.

Google is out of their minds. Do what you want. But pulling your hair out and stressing while waiting for Google to throw holy water on you is insane.

Go to your traffic. Let everybody else wait. Or whatever...

First things first, ask yourself, what is your priority for going online? What do you wish to accomplish in say a day, week, or months to come? I think in order for you to not get all burned out is to sit down, brainstorm, and set your priorities and start from there.

This. A daily plan helps me break down and manage things that seem overwhelming. After that keep your head down and plug away

During your tutoring, did you do any market research? Do you have any knowledge about your target market wanting or needing what you are selling? Are you selling where your target market is located?

If you are waiting for organic traffic then you can wait for a long time. This may work for you or may not. I would not focus all of my attention on this.

I would go small with pay per click and learn everything about it. I would also start placing ads on Google and Bing and again, I would start really small to test the water because if you don't know what you are doing, you can lose a lot of money.

Look for websites that are on page 1 of Google for your niche and see if they accept ads.

Start making videos on YouTube daily. Give out great content.

Start writing articles and do this daily without stop.

Go to forums and add your website in your signature. Be sure not to add affiliate links and never spam any forum because this will get you banned.

This is my best advice for you.

There is also a book on the market by a top internet marketer called Ewen Chia. I would go to Amazon and look for it and buy it. It has a ton of very useful info in it that you can use to grow your income online.

The book is called "How I made my first million on the internet and how you can too".

The key when you are starting out is to have patience. Rome was not built in a day, and while I know this is even harder when you're not making any money online, you have to wait and continue working. The thing with IM is that you'll often have to work a lot without seeing any results, but at some point everything starts working and you get to see some great results.

  • First and foremost after going back and reading your post for a minute seem like you have multiple products on your website! If that the case then it's going to take a while before you see any real ranking! What would be the best thing too do is find out where you can win at for as keywords and then built sites around the keyword! But don't every give up! People are making millions of dollars online so it's possible.

If you can afford $1400 for 'tutoring', surely you can pay to outsource some of your exhausting workload!? I admire you for the efforts you have made thus far. Persistence is key! Believe and achieve! (OK, I cringed too .
