What reputable alternatives to Clickbank are there?

If you could not guess I'm a newbie to this. I only know of clickbank right now where I can sell affiliates products and to be honest I have made $0 to date with it, totally lost on how to sell online still, but I'm not giving up, that is the for sure way to lose!

I'm trying to find somewhere I can sell a product that I can pay people on fiverr to send out flyers for and see how it does.

I'm thinking the health niche since there seems to always be a demand for that. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks guys!

If you're having difficulty selling Clickbank products it's likely you'll have the same difficulties with other networks - you need some basic marketing skills no matter what product you're selling. Clickbank does have some good products but I've found the easiest way to sell them is to build a list and market to your subscribers.

If you're going to do flyers though I've seen a few people selling WSO's teaching how to do this and they seem to mostly be using CPA networks.

      • Hey hometutor,

        Just regarding:

"1.Plimus - Very similar to clickbank, Market, sell and buy digital goods and services around the world
        online and on mobile"

That was an old response... Plimus is no longer Plimus, it's now BlueSnap. And other than Market Health, I wouldn't really recommend those other options these days...

As for RSS some have it... I know LinkShare in particular has a specific tool for allowing advertisers to syndicate RSS content to publishers. Something for you to check out.

ClickSure is a becoming pretty popular, then there's JVZoo & WarriorPlus which are also up there. If you're a vendor, you can try InfusionSoft and get access to that but it costs like $2,000 to set up your account - but it's definitely worth it.

Clicksure might seem to becoming popular, but that's because
they pretty much accept anything and it's were a lot of people go
if they can't get onto clickbank. (sad but true)

So, yes the outside appearance - seems popular... However, there's
a lot of grumbling secretly going on in the background with their
      vendors and affilaites.

There's huge demand, and there's huge supply too, from/through people who have built trust-based relationships with their subscribers, because long experience has taught the "survivors" in this marketplace that that's how the sales are made. I think you could perhaps start here, Joe: it may help you a lot (and it applies to many products other than ClickBank ones, too): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

You can join ClickSure, Amazon or Market Health. I recommend Market Health, they accept almost everyone and they have more than 100 products you can promote and high commissions and the offers landing page are the most incredible landing pages I have ever seen on the web. And you can join CPA networks, but as all the respected members replied here, if you don't know how to sell online or you don't have a solid marketing strategy, it doesn't matter which network you are in. You should learn.

thank you and I hope that helps.

I think my biggest problem and why I'm not making sales is the following reasons.

1.) I've been burned so many times before and I'm down to my last chance to make this work so I have a lot of pressure on me to spend my money correctly. I got $2000 to my name at this point and then it's on the street. Very stressful. Let me repeat though, "I am not afraid of hard work", I just want to work "smarter" not "harder".

2.) I can't tell who is telling the truth about anything anymore. This has unfortunately made me extremely cynical. My experience has shown that near 95% of SEO related books/people are scammers and even if I do rank to the top of a keyword in SEO it's not guaranteed and you will lose that traffic source randomly when Google decides to update it's algorithm. I'm very familiar with how SEO works but it's extremely risky and has no light at the end of the tunnel. I could do work hours on end backlinking, spend money getting a domain name. Convince a site owner with high page rank to give me a do-follow link to my site and I still might not show up at the top for the keyword I'm targeting (even if I make sure that the highest ranking sites pagerank for the keyword I'm targeting is 1! even if that top ranking page rank 1 sites title tag is not set correctly to the keyword!). I don't like investing in ideas that are based on luck, and to me SEO is luck and based on too many external factors I can't control.

3.) I am very experienced with adwords and I like it because I can control it, but adwords blocks every single clickbank product I've ever tried to promote. From what I understand on clickbanks site, Google does not hate clickbank, but dislikes their sales tactics (like javascript 'wait don't go' windows and the fact they feel they are not giving quality content to the user). Personally I think that is bull **** for the ads, if people are clicking on the ads they well know they are going to be advertised to and I think are okay with it. The other trick is even if I did somehow get on adwords to sell the product, I have to earn more money than I spend on adwords, and I only get it if the product actually sells! I have yet to find a product on any affiliate site (especially clickbank) that has been allowed to be linked to on Google. I almost forgot to mention also, that if it was allowed on Clickbank usually someone is on that pronto...usually the product/creator/company its self! Google only allows one person to advertise a site at a time for a keyword. If I make a site that iframes it to compete, you'll get banned! (I did get banned a couple of times on test accounts, so I confirmed this). I can't find a way for the life of me to get traffic from adwords. The only way would be to make a blog and then hope that somehow people click to the website from a link in your blog after reading it, but by the time that happens you have probably spent $100 in adwords, instead of the $10-$15 if you could just go to the page directly. It's a game of numbers. Every roadblock you put in the way lowers your chances of a sale by 90%. If the product only pays out $50, you lose!

4.) I've successfully been able to generate leads for service business's on adwords but I have no idea how to set it up to earn passively off this. I don't think there is a network for earning money generating leads for service businesses. For example, I can generate pool service leads like it's no one's business using adwords and a simple landing page. I have proof of this with years or recorded phone calls and data in my adwords account tracking conversions when I was doing adwords work for people (itechware.com). Know a way to make off this? I don't yet

5.) I've recently learned about fiverr and flyer targeting for products, and this seems promising because it's affordable $5 and I've heard from not just 1 member, but 2 so far that this can work. The hard part here is I have no idea what products 'actually' sell. It's easy to manipulate the gravity score on clickbank to make it seem like your product is legit so I can't even trust that really. What criteria do you use to select a good clickbank product? Do I literally have to go from product to product spend $5-$10 on 2 flyer runs (200 people each one) and see if I get sales sometime during the week. So far my experiment with the flyer people targeting directly basketball players for a product that supposedly converts for them flopped completely. If giving a flyer directly to the audience doesn't work I'm not sure what will?

6.) I'm at a total loss for how to make money online. I am a computer programmer, can program anything you wanted, but when it comes to actually making money I'm clueless... it's just very disheartening.

I suppose the biggest thing holding me back is just not knowing who to trust. I just wish I could actually talk with someone, legitimately see earnings in their account and learn the process (I would not copy them), but at least I would know that my efforts were not in vain. It's one thing to hear do this, do that, but to actually see someone successful who followed certain steps would be a huge confidence booster.

I can't have a business if I don't have traffic. Me handing out flyers personally or posting on craigslist is not a good option, unless that drives sales $'s more than it would cost me to pay someone to do that daily.

To those that are successful, what I can I do for you? I will literally do anything at this point because it's my dream and sole goal in life to create an online business. I will program a software product for you for FREE, I would not even take a percetage of the product (unless you are willing to give me something) or anything just to learn how this really works as long as you can legitimately prove you are who you say you are in return.

Why don't you try setting up landing pages to promote Clickbank or other affiliate products (Digiresults, Paydotcom.com, JVZoo), and then setup your Adwords campaigns to go to your landing pages. You might want to consider offering a freebie related to your niche that involves people signing up for your autoresponder - that way if the traffic doesn't convert right away, you could potentially sell to them down the road (and repeatedly ).

With Adwords I find it's important to make sure you have some quality content on your landing page or it probably won't get approved.

If you are looking to monetize your traffic right away, you could put CPA offers that only involve an email or zip submit on your landing pages. You should check out Peerfly.

You might want to consider trying out MSN Ad Center, Clicksor, or Bidvertiser. They are alot more flexible than Adwords, and you can send your traffic directly to an affiliate or CPA offer.

Also, there's always people looking to pay someone to help them with their website issues, so why don't you try setting up a gig on Fiverr or outsource your skills at Elance or Odesk?

      Best of luck to you!

Try commission junction. I made $104 from them as of today. But I haven't got a check from them. I'm promoting a work from home website and getting $0.5 per sign up. So it's kind hard to get to $104. lol I still prefer Clickbank in my case.

I'm using blogs to promote the work from home website which happens to be oDesk.com. I myself is an oDesk contractor and I work as an SEO consultant. So I just post my successes on the blogs then asks visitors to sign up if they want to do online jobs. I got 22,000 visitors in 8 months and got around 200 plus sign-ups (only $0.5 per sign-up). I got a total of $104 so far. So it's not really profitable. lol

Why not try to do online jobs as well? I'm earning around $2,700 per month doing online jobs. Then I use $200 of my monthly earnings to promote Clickbank products on PPC. The rest goes to my savings! LOL

My problem with getting a 'job' is I can only earn as much money as I put my time into it. In other-words it's linear. Time Spent = Money Earned. Time is everything and I believe to truly make money you have to separate yourself from the time for money equation. I want to setup a system that is as passive as possible so that I can have the free time to properly live life for once and not be a slave to the dollar.

With a business you can earn money exponentially because your time is free to keep expanding upon a concept. With a job you have locked in your time for money and don't have time to correctly focus on a business. Even worse is if you get yourself in debt from getting used to this money. You will be locked into a system of trading time for money with no hope of escape until you are 50 years old and too old to enjoy your money.

It's for this reason that I refuse to get a job unless it's absolutely necessary to survive.

I guess it depends on your situation. If you already have the funds and has already setup a successful business then you can of course leave your regular job.

In my case, I started from scratch (no funds available at all). Then I started building wealth doing online jobs. Then when I have enough SEO knowledge, I started to promote a few clickbank products using the extra funds that I earned from oDesk.com.

I'm still testing a few campaigns on Clickbank and now earning $100 per day. But when it reaches $300 per day. I will surely leave my job and focus on promoting Clickbank products to increase my sales even more. LOL

I definitely commend you on your determination, its definitely not easy starting a business, gaining confidence in the clients and building a reputation that is profitable.

BlueSnap has a marketplace where affiliates can find products to promote in order to receive commissions based on the sale; however we currently do not work with fiverr.

  • I know this thread is a little older now, but I thought I'd leave an updated comment in case anyone is still looking for information here.

There are a few alternative networks that affiliates can use these days, some better than others depending on your requirements. The OP here was interested in the health niche, so they probably would have done quite well to look into the Market Health network.

The main ones I'd say to look further into (not necessarily in order) are:
    - Rakuten LinkShare (Got some big brands, can be quite good)
    - CJ Affiliate (Easy to use, useful stats)
    - ShareASale (This one is OK)
    - Market Health (Great for anyone in a health-related niche)
    - Neverblue (high quality CPA network)
    - Affiliate.com (CPA network)
    - JVZoo (Questionable but potential if you don't mind filtering through products)
    - PeerFly (high quality CPA network)
    - Amazon Associates (Big product range and reputable with customers, but super low commissions)
    - eBay Partner Network (Same as Amazon - lots of products but low commissions)

There's more information about each network here: 10 Alternatives to ClickBank | Affilorama

You'll also find a nifty little table for comparing them directly to each other. Super helpful stuff.
