Is it a Report, Manual, E-book or Book?

I offer a free incentive as many do on my Squeeze Page and sometimes I'm not sure if I give a correct impression on what will be sent or downloaded.

Is a 5 page download a report? Is a 20 page download a manual or is it all classified as an E-book if it is a PDF?

And when is it correct to say it is a book? If I print it, is it a book, but if it is downloaded is it really an E-book?

OK, I know this will not change how IM is done effectively but I want to accurately set the expectation of the person giving their email address.

Currently I have 5-10 page downloads but one is 90 pages when purchased. I just want them to be all they can be.

Thanks for the help,

Tom

You can call it whatever you like.

It depends a bit on the style of content and your target audience.

5-15(20) pages is usually called a short report, anything longer is usually called an ebook.

Call it whatever you like. You can even call it a System or a Formula... Whatever really.

Just remember, all your prospect truly cares about is whether or not your product/report/ebook/system can solve their problem in the quickest and easiest way possible.

That's what you should be spending your time worrying about, trying to convey how it will help your prospect solve their problem, not what to call your "Freebie".

    Hope this helps!

An e-book has a percieved value. A manual does not.

If you call it an e-book, and you charge $50 for it, it matters what you call it. I have a manual I successfully sell at $299. If I called it a book (it's not a downloadable product) it would sell for $20 tops.

Manual conveys more value. Program or System even sounds like more money.

90 pages? I would call it an e-book if it's $20 or less, or a System if it's $50 or more. Just a thought.
