Best Theme to use when Promoting Amazon

Hi Warriors,

Quick question, in your opinion/experience what is your favorite theme when promoting Amazon?

Looking forward to discussing this, thank you for your input

I tend to use themes that can be easily customized from site to site. I've used Thesis a lot in the past and more recently themes from Woothemes such as Gazette and Canvas. In general I go for any theme that can be set up to provide a magazine style front page with a nice clean look that doesn't distract from the content.

You can still make money with a bad theme if the content is good but rarely the other way round.

I use the Focus childtheme from Studiopress for my Amazon review sites. I love the Genesis themeframe, and for some reason my eye fell on Focus for my review sites and it stuck.

Thank you, great advice so far.

Do any of the Warriors use any themes specifically created for promoting Amazon?

No, not usually. In my opinion it's not the theme, it's the content that sells people, or pre-sells them.

I have bought about 10 themes made for Amazon and supporting WPZon Builder from WF. I wound up using none of them and using one of the free ones posted in WPZon's site: WordPress › iNove « Free WordPress Themes. It looks just like the demo screen: Calphalon Unison Nonstick Cookware. Although the themes I bought were nice and worked okay, many had glitches or didn't show the star rating or the price or the listing price and then the sale price. All this was important to me for my site. I been searching for the best theme and this free one seems to be the best one so far. The theme states it hasn't been updated in two years, it seems to work fine.

There is no "best" theme. As long as the theme you use is clean, professional-looking, and easily navigable, you should be good. What you don't want is something that's distracting. Remember, your goal as an affiliate is to get the click. A clean theme and good content will do that.

As for the "made for Amazon" themes all over the place, I don't like any of them. They all scream "affiliate site!!!". I build my sites and coach my clients to build sites that look more like e-commerce sites and less like affiliate sites. Those "amazon themes" are terrible for my specific needs.

      My opinion and experience EXACTLY.

Stay well away from the 'made for Amazon affiliates' themes. Use them and you may as well put a banner across the top - "I'm trying to sell to you."

In short, be an individual, NOT the same as everyone else.

  • Hello there! In my opinion, theme that is eye catchy and 'friendly' in a sense, is the best

    Good luck!

I would highly recommend ShopperPress. I made A LOT of money by slightly modifying their basic theme and optimizing my product imports for SEO.

    Good luck!
