Anyone Use Demon Tracking & OptimizePress?

Hi all,

I'm using one of OptimizePress squeeze pages (squeeze 05) but can't get it to redirect after they optin, it keeps going back to the Demon Tracking dashboard.

Anyone else had this problem and know the fix, or know if there is a video out there showing how to do it, I've been through all their videos with no luck.

I'm using aweber btw, and yes I've contacted support who have been brilliant but still can't get it to work.

I'm 100% sure it's NOT a fault of either program, think it's the doofus operating it :-)

Cheers
Neil

    Hi Neil,

Sounds to me like it might be a case of the PHP plugin not parsing. I was having the exact same outcome with a different setup. I was using SalespressPro and the WP Optin Pro plugin and was landing on my demon tracking dashboard after optin. They (demon support) told me it won't work within a plugin. Also, I am using a different autoresponder and it didn't like that the demon links have source code in them when I tried to use them as the redirct URL.

I don't use OP but it has a place where you just paste in the form code that is outside of the WP text editor right? That could be the issue.

Demon is a great product because of the price and I gave it a really fair chance but I ended up ditching it because it just wasn't working out as soon as I wanted to do more other than use an html (converted to php) squeeze page and aweber. Ok it works with WP on a basic level to be fair.

I don't think this is the answer your were hoping for but this is what I've got I ended up moving over to CPVlabs and it's working out so far. Still have to do some more testing but looks promising. Pricier but worth it.

Bang on Nics, just got this back from support:-

I reviewed the video about the auto responder and the reason for all the issues is
you can not use optimize press functions.

Where you are pasting the code at is just a holding area while optimize press attempts to parse
the information for the variables it needs to use.

You will need to paste the code in the initial html view area for the post.

That should alleviate any issues that you are having in regards to the redirect.
      Regards,

      James
Bit of a pain but I'll try work round it, don't really want to spend $300 at the moment but will probably convert over after xmas to something more robust.

      Many thanks for you help!

      Cheers

    Hey guys,

Finally found a way to get around this with demon tracking

Basically in demon tracking just set up the landing page using "self-hosted" instead of ""wordpress"

Then copy your wordpress url and paste into demontracking, and /index.php to the end of the url (don't need to change anything in wordpress)

Then install "Exec-PHP" plugin (no need shortcode exec php)

Then just copy the landing page code and paste it to your aweber code and it will work.

    Help this helps bro

    Thanks Jet/ Dragontech

It works.. Only comment is that the LP Code generated by Demon needs to be inserted into the Aweber redirect code of the actual WP page...Aweber doesn't accept it if you paste the URL into Aweber itself...
