I remember Frank Kern saying in Mass Control that if you didn't have testimonials for a particular product, you could talk about people that had been successful with the method i.e. transferring credibility.

So for example, if you had a product about day trading, could you talk about other unrelated people who have been successful in day trading, just to expound the potential of day trading?

Depends if you're talking about principles or systems. Systems? No, you must test it and have honest-to-satan (:rolleyes feedback from the use of the system, before going to the launch.

Principles? Sure you can contrast similar stories and experiences that tie into what you're offering. But you should remember to under-promise and over-deliver.

    Know what I'm saying?

BTW, what you're asking is not illegal per se...but it could be morally ambiguous.

Isn't it easier/better to push a product that does have credibility and testimonials, as opposed to one that doesn't.

That would be a good way to go. If someone who has everything in place and has proven in the past to make his affiliate sales, why not go with that program?

But most of these products asked their friends and associates for testimonials. Some are even using fake ones.

LeBron James makes $17 million per year playing basketball. Come to my basketball camp so you can learn to make $17 million too.

    That doesn't work.
