How to Increase Conversion & Make More Money (pre selling/reviews)

Hey Warriors,

Wanted to share some tips I've picked up over the years on writing better reviews and making sure people click your affiliate links.

I recently looked at a friend's blog and had her make a few changes to her product review and she finally started seeing regular sales in her ClickBank account :-)

Here's my advice:

1. Write a Thoughtful Review - buy the dang product and read it, use it and tell people what you love and don't love about it. Your review needs to be at least 800 words long and have sections about the good and the bad.

2. Give Options - look at the product and see if they have a trial option (some ClickBank products have special landing pages where users can buy the product for $5 and get billed the rest later). Offer up the trial option and full price option.

3. Control the Clicks - Don't link to everything under the sun. Your review page should only have a few options to click to. Use a strong call to action - I create call to action buttons that say things like:
" Click Here to Get to Product X's Trial Offer Page"
" Click Here to Get to Product's Site"

If you can't make call to action buttons then do this in text:

>>>>> Click Here to Visit the XXXXX Site <<<<<<

I would place the option to click at least 2 times in the review (once in the middle and once towards the end).

4. Build Trust - Give them an option to opt-in to your list and help solve a few problems for them. If you're promoting a dieting product - then give them some useful exercise routines or recipes for healthy meals. Keep slamming them with free stuff so they absolutely LOVE you.

5. Have A REAL PERSON read your review - If you're promoting a dieting product then send the link to a buddy who is looking to lose weight and ask them if it looks credible. Is this the kind of review that would make someone go "Oh - I have got to have that!".

Pro Tip: Take a look at how some of the top reviews on Amazon are written.

I can't emphasize #5 enough. To give you an example of how to use real world people to proof read your reviews - I recently sent the link to a hair loss product to a few friends in their 40's that are balding - I talked to them about whether or not they thought my site was credible.

If they felt it was a scam. If there were enough articles and content to build trust and answer EACH and EVERY question they might have. This was a long and tedious process of reviewing and editing my site but what I have now is a blog with just one product/affiliate link that is converting like gang busters.

You would be surprised at how many of your friends and family are using the Internet to get trusted reviews - so go talk to them!

Writing reviews is critical in influencing conversion rate.

For making more money, write more reviewing articles. Scale it up.
