How do i Generate instant traffic to my site?

Hello everyone,
As a relative newbie i would just like to ask while waiting for my ezine articles to be approved and go live and my site to rank higher in google for its keyphrases, what can i do to generate instant traffic. To get the articles approved quicker there is a hefty fee to pay to Ezine and would prefer to not pay such a large price. Also, article writing is something im not exceptionally good at so are there any other methods i can consider for traffic.

You could also be the first to comment on a well-trafficked, under-commented blog. I have a method for finding these but you can find some, too.

Also, I'm not sure if black hat methods are approved here so I won't say anything but I did see a black hat info product for sale in the WSO area so you can Google for info on that.

Set up a Twitter profile and start growing you list. You'll get a few people right away if you start following people with huge followers. I set one up and had about 80 follower in 2 hours.

The fastest way to send traffic is through PPC campaigns. Here are the two I highly recommend:

(1) Google Adwords
(2) Adbrite

Once you use it effectively, it is awesome!! Together with what ou are doing with article marketing, you will be unstoppable!

The quickest source of targeted traffic is PPC. You can have your ad up and running in as little as 15 minutes in Google. Sure it will cost you, but it's a better spend in my opinion than paying ezine articles to approve your article.

Write a good ad and you'll get the click-throughs.

Make sure your site and content is structured correctly, generate a site map and submit it to Google via their Webmaster Tools. If you get into Google then other love will start to follow! Web 2.0 strategies that link back to your site would be next. However, I agree 100% with the other posts that paid advertising methods like PPC would be the fastest way to generate traffic (know your keywords and use negatives).

Make sure you have a product funnel in place before you start to shell out the big bucks.

While many of the methods above are FAST ways to get traffic many of them are ineffective and it takes time to learn how to better write ads that convert. My suggestion would be to honestly sit down and learn some free methods to drive traffic to your site and then build up on that. Make your mistakes in the free traffic would before you fork it out of your pocket and come out empty handed. There are over 100 different ways to drive traffic to your sites.
1. Comment on others blogs
2. Join Social Networks, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace ...
3. Classified ads on ebay
4. Write your own blog and add it to RSS feeds
5. Add your own videos to youtube
6. Domain Marketing
7. Forums
8. List building and opt ins
... There are tons just pick one learn it and start putting it into action once that one becomes more hands free move on to the next.

I would suggest...
Comment on other blogs (with trackbacks)
Set up a RSS feed on your blog, then
Write killer articles.
With just these few things you will see your traffic go up dramatically.
The next would be conversion and selling stuff

If you use blogs then go with the self-hosted version of WordPress and install these plug-ins "before" you get started:

1) All in One SEO Pack
2) Google XML Sitemaps
3) Google Analytics
4) Sociable
5) Akismet

This is just a start and you'll quickly find other plug-ins to encourage comments, run polls, reward certain behaviors and on and on and on!

Also, make sure the PermaLinks are SEO friendly before you start posting.

There's a lot of tricks to maximizing your blog and the information is freely available on these forums and using your old friend Google.

You have specifically asked for a method that generates traffic quickly.

These are hard to find. Free methods take time to get going.

However - here are some relatively fast movers;

1. Add a signature link to your profile. Make sure it attractive to click. Actually think about your signature. Then go and participate in forums.

Will take some effort - but you should get clicks pretty quickly.


2. Post comments on blogs. These can take a while to get approved - but if you do a lot - then you will get traffic in a couple of days.


3. Answer questions on Yahoo - this works pretty quickly as well. But you can get banned easily. Be carful how much time you spend on this.


4. Twitter is pretty quick too. You can get followers quickly - but if you get too many then there is a risk you will get banned.

I feel that FORUM marketing via QUALITY posts is the most direct and fastest - if PPC is not an option.

But its a process to be sure.

January my sites were trickling in - as to be expected. 240 or so visiters - PER MONTH! [ sadly ] 90 days later is 450-500.

2. Get a blog and post regularly - quality to your own blog
3. Forums ... find forums in your niches and do the right things and help
4. Have a quality signature at these forums.

- 2 hrs per day posting quality on the 3 forums in your niche
- 1 hr creating article - 300-500 words [i need to do more of this ]
- 1 hr thinking about products the niche needs you could provide
--- money loves speed - create something they need to do but make it faster easier. People always put premiums on hteir time or the time it takes to bust out necessary tasks
6. Solve a niches problem with an affordable solution.
7. Work on your product 1-2 hrs a week min.

I never tried "twitter marketing" can someone PM me how to get followers if they have a step by step they want to share. Never really put my mind to it.

Adwords is is your good bet if you have experience. If not, try to do for a marketing, because it works. You will not be able to advertise straightforward on there, but you will be able to put your website into your signature.

I would like to learn but dont really know where to start. Any other suggestions would be great. Also how is facebook for getting traffic?

Commenting on peoples blogs can generate instant traffic and more for the future too.
Another instant traffic way is traffic exchanges. They work a charm

Google is currently in love with squidoo and if you create a squidoo optimized lens, your article can rank on the 1st page on google in a matter of 2-11 days.

My best record is 7 hours.

Here's how to optimize your squidoo lens:

1. find a keyword phrase (3 or more words) where optimized results is less than 5000.
2. create a squidoo lens of at least 300 words, with the keyword phrase appearing once every 100 words.
3. published your lens and digg it.
4. create a blog post and link to the squidoo lens

To use ppc, you got to think of highly targeted keyword phrases like "product name" review,
"buy/order/purchase nikon d90 camera in usa"

the longer the keyword phrase, the better.

If you are not comfortable with writing articles, then maybe you need a rethink of your marketing strategy.

Twitter is a great way to build your network and if used correctly you CAN grow a following of people that is targeted to your niche.

Also you don't need to be a great writer as you only have 140 characters to express yourself. As long as you keep your tweets simple and focus on growing and building relationships with your followers you will do just fine.

Plus all the targeted traffic you get using twitter is completely FREE and doesn't cost you anything.
