Have a goal, a plan and 80% of the skills. To much to handle. What should i do?

Dear warriors,

Making money online has been my dream since i was 15 and for the last 4 years i spent my time learning about internet marketing, web programming, web design and few other stuff. Until now i haven't been able to generate much money at all, primarily because I am alone and i don't know anyone who is at least interested to earn money online. And that's because no one thinks that is possible and are always laughing at me for staying at the pc all the time. I don't have a job and i am constantly pressed by time and society.

Anyways, i've been through 70-80% wso, courses, etc. And now it is time to do and apply. Problem is : 1. Being a college student i obviously don't have any money to invest or outsource in anything and 2. I can't handle all the stuff that this kind of business requires : SEO, Content Creation, Copywritting, Marketing, Advertising, Development and Design etc. But the website is 90% done.

So i turn to the biggest internet marketing forum in hope that will eventually find someone who, like me, have the desire the make money online but can't get there by themselves.

The plan is simple: Start with affiliate marketing, build brand and expand.
I have an entire notebook on how to do this and what do to afterwards.

Most of you would say: ok start slowly and have patience. Yeah but i don't have anymore time to waste and i know what i have to do.

I really need some advice on what should i do. What would you do?

If you have no money to spend, just start slowly and realize it will be a while before you see any results. Stop buying products and take action on a plan. Work it HARD for 3 months, really work it for 3 months, and then see how you end up. Adjust, and do it again.

The problem is that people want to spend no money, spend no time, and make a ton of cash. It doesn't work like that. Not saying you, but the "dream" of IM and working 2 hours a day and making easy money kind of perpetuates that mindset.

Stop buying products. Work your ass off for the next 3 months. Then evaluate.

Thanks for the reply Bill. Yeah i stopped buying courses and started to build my site which is 90% complete only few minor details and i can start with content creation.

I was thinking that i should start with content creation and spend as much time as possible to generate valuable content. And then start SEO which will take some good time.

Yes, concentrate on content and start to build a list from any traffic you get.

I am kind of in the same boat. It has become sort of an obsession of mine to start earning an extra income online. I work 60+ hours a week at my day job, and I am taking classes online as well. I know that since I don't have the proper time to put into an online business, I will have to start slow. Every chance I get, even if it is only 20 minutes at a time, I am writing content and building my site. I am not hard pressed to make any money so I am OK with taking my time and seeing where it brings me.

I know what you're saying. I started back my IM career when I was in grad school, working, and family. It can be done, but you have to prioritize and have patience. I think a lot of people forget that it does take time and dedication. There is not quick cash flow. However, the time and effort now pays huge dividends. Remember. It will be around for a long time, and you don't have to jump on anything fast. Building an authority site slowly, (1 post a week) of real quality content will see huge dividends down the road. Stay focused.

You can learn to build a list. I become much more focused since I began building my lists.

About outsourcing, I think you can outsource some works after you are familiar with the whole business process yourself, and don't even consider outsourcing when you are not clear about what you should do.

It takes time to learn, and don't need to hurry.

It can you more focused if you make a daily plan in the early morning, and stick with it the whole day, then check if you have finished the plan.

If you cant handle these things, how do you expect to make money online? Marketing is the most important part of all of the things that you mentioned above. Nobody will do these things for you unless you hiring somebody to do it. If you cant hire someone to do it, then you will have to do it yourself.

      Hi Xelloro,

Looks like your having information overload. You don't have to spend money on many WSO or trying to implement all the strategies.

All you need just 2 steps as follows:

      1. Lead Generation Website / Squeeze Page with Autoresponder embedded.

Make sure you have a compelling free offer in exchange for your visitors email address.

This step only requires initial effort to setup.

      2. Email Marketing with your list

Write good affiliate product reviews or make a video of you making a product review then email it to all your subscribers.

Write 3 or 4 email about a product highlighting their benefits, features and how it helped you.

Make one product review post or video a day or set time on weekend to create 7 review in one shot then schedule your auto responder to send it on daily basis.

The above 2 steps are straight forward and simple but yet so powerful.

Hope this makes sense. I wish you all the best.

    I've been there brother.

When I did my undergraduate degree, I was posting ads while in class.

The first thing you need to do, is figure out how you want to make money.

Do you want to be an affiliate? List builder? Product creator? Blogger?

Figure out how you want to make your money.

You have all the potential in the world, and your youth is your ally.

Remember, figure out what you want to do, then develop a plan to achieve it.

Don't be afraid to outsource steps in your plan that you're unable to achieve.

    Any questions, let us know.

    I know how you feel.

If you don't have a job you can easily make some quick money online by offering a service.

For example, you can offer to write content.

Once you figured out a way to make some quick cash read this thread.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...de-online.html

Then read this thread (yes I started it) to help you find your niche.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...he-target.html

Use the money you earn from offering your service to invest in a domain and hosting (12$ for a domain for a year and 20$ for hosting per month if you use Hostgator) and build a squeeze page.

The next step is to generate traffic for that squeeze page.

I hope that will give you a basic plan to follow.

    Cheers.

Stop buying WSOs for a start. They're useful but in no way essential. I make money online, yes. Not life changing huge amounts, but it's money and I make it NOT following a WSO.

WSOs are not the answer of making money. If anything, they're just a way for WF members to make money IMO anyways. I'm sure there will be the naysayers or who will say WSOs are incredibly yadda yadda yadda.

What I would say is you need to focus on your site in these key areas, IN THIS ORDER:

    1. Content - Regular high quality content... That's it for content. Don't go focussing on SEO and keyword density and whatever else. Just write naturally. Good content will never get affected and penalised by Google updates.

    2. Social Presence - Even just liking articles yourself? And get a few buttons on your posts so people can tweet/like/+1/pin or whatever else.

    3. SEO - Little, often, high quality. Don't blast 50,000 Fiverr spam scam junk backlinks at your site. Instead when an opportunity arises, put your link out there. GUEST POST if you can!

WAIT FOR TRAFFIC... Just keep on with these three until you see traffic. THEN...

    4. Design

    5. Monetization

Who cares if you have a stunning website monetized with some complex membership scheme if you have ZERO traffic. Work on the content, then the traffic and then work everything else out afterwards.

I'm sure this is no how the 'gurus' might tell you to do things but it's how I do things and well... It's working.

    Good luck!

      Hi There!

We have the same problem, but I made my research of what to do's. I'm going to share it with you.

I know you already come up with this idea, but let me say it again.

Target Market (to whom is your product/ website)
Where will you find your target market in the internet?
How will you interact with them? / How you are going to catch their attention?

After conceptualizing or planning, proceed to your website. You have to make a checklist if your website passed SEO and Search Engine standards.

      1. Content
      a. Quality - Are the pages the website are well-written and have substantial quality?
      b. Research - You have to research for your keywords which you are going to use.
      c. Words - What are the words and phrases that is suitable to your site.
      d. Engage - How visitors interact on your website? Are they spending enough time or simply making "bounce visits"?
      e. Fresh - Pages of your website should be always updated and keeping its fresh to your viewers like posting a hot topic.

      2. HTML
      a. Titles
      b. Description
      c. Headers
You should check those all before you proceed to your plan.

      3. Architecture
      a. Crawl - Just make sure that search engines can easily crawl the pages of your site.
      b. Speed - Does your site load quickly?
      c. URL - It's important to have a short urls.

      Then do the Off-Page SEO.
      1. Build Links
      a. Quality - you have to get links from a reputable and quality-assured website. Do not just submit to those ordinary and spammy directories.
      b. Number of links- Are those numbers point directly to your pages?
      2. Be on the Social Media platform
      a. Reputation - Does social networks reach your target audience/visitors?
      b. Shares - Do members share your content with others?
      3. Trust
      a. Authority - you can have the authority if you already built a strong foundation on those sites where you are highly trusted due to factors like links on them and shares from them.
      b. History - Its much easier to build links and get trusted, if your website has been existing in the internet for a long time. And also track the trend of the status of your website.

Those are some helpful ideas that might give some idea. I'm doing that for a month. There is an improvement so far. And don't stop searching for new trends. The online trends are constantly changing. Watch your website's progress from the moment you started those works, and evaluate.

Take note of the websites that give you pretty good traffic. Get more active on that to keep the traffic flowing.
