Free tool but with link back to owners site?

Hi, I was thinking of using free nutritional calculators and a BMI calculator code from a site that provides them free. Every calculator will have a link back to there site though (link is embedded on each calculator).

Is that a problem? Are there any disadvantages to providing a link back to there site, perhaps two or three links depending on the number I use?

Sorry I am aware that this could be a stupid question but thought i'd ask.

Thanks

Danny

They are providing a service to you with the free tool so giving them a link back doesn't sound so bad. Depending on the type of code it may not even be seen by search engines so you wouldn't lose link juice. And you may be able to check their terms and see if you can remove the link.

Anyway they already answered the question BUT I have something to tell you. Any services that are offering for FREE have a catch. For us SEO, we build FREE tools to get backlinks. By leaving a backlink to the users who are using it is a big APPRECIATION for them by using their services for FREE.

Personally I'm happy to provide a link back to anyone who helps a site. I don't believe there is any harm in it, and hey, you might make a friend.
