Hi Ben,
There are a number of things you can do with your RSS feed I would recommend this
1. Getting a feed burner account and adding the subscription box to your blog
2. Submit your RSS feed anywhere and everywhere you can a good site I just recently used would be RSS Submissions

To automate my RSS feed submissions, I use a piece of software called RSSBot, which you can find here: RSSBot | Traffic Mania RSSBot - Easily Submit Your RSS Feeds To Major Online Aggregators On Auto Pilot!

As you'll see on the page, it says it supports about 30 sites which you'll be able to submit to all at once with a single click...it makes life much easier

Well from what I know once you submit a RSS feed its set for the life of the site. No reason to resubmit it again and again so you would only need the software if you are submitting tons of RSS feeds Is this correct anyone?

Personally I use

ksoft- RSS Submit - Software to Easily Submit Your RSS Feeds

Works great for me and they have just upgraded to add new directories

Here, do this. I use this trick to generate a TON of residual traffic.

Step 1. Set up a wordpress blog with a domain name in the same niche as your forum.

Step 2. Get FeedWordpress plugin.

Step 3. Use FeedWordpress to syndicate your forum posts into your wordpress blog via RSS.

Now, all the posts from your forum go into this blog. You know the guys who just rip off other people's rss feeds? They do it for a reason. But nothing is stopping you from doing it too.

What does this do for you? You get back links, more real estate, easier indexing, etc etc.

If you want to get advanced, do this:

Step 4: Set up a Twitter Account.

Step 5: Tell all your users in the forum to follow you.

Step 6: Install the Twitter Tools Plugin for Wordpress.

Now, all the posts from your blog are being sent to wordpress AND twitter. But is that enough? OH NO!

Step 7: Get the WPTouch plugin for wordpress. This turns your wordpress blog into an iPhone app.

Now, all your posts in the forum are going to a blog, twitter, and iPhones. And you can use all of these things to boost up each other.

Thats how you leverage content, and how you can get massive gains in traffic, backlinks, and other things with content you already have.

And thats just from one RSS feed
