So, what's a good business model?

It's been my goal for a while to make $100 a day via residual income online. I have a blog which I plan on selling an eBook for in the distant future but I want to know what the easiest/quickest/most efficient method for making money online is currently.

I've had experience with driving traffic to a squeeze page via a blog and building a list and whatnot. But is there anything better out there?

You'll get a variety of answers to this, but I still use the model you mentioned.

    Traffic > List > Offers

That might seem too simple, but I've used it for around 15 years.

It does work. I was wondering if there were any worthwhile alternatives?

My model's a bit different. Build a unique site in your niche (specialize in just one area), make sure you have no competition. Use SEO & social media to drive traffic. I'm building a list too with a free giveaway, but 90% of my ebook sales come straight off my site. Wouldn't say its easier, but its different (and free).

For you, it's whichever one you have the I.M. education, knowledge, understanding and skill-set to be able to execute effectively.

That's a little concerning to hear. What's your own impression of the main reasons that that didn't work out for you?

If it helps/interests you, this is how I make a living, myself: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5721774

It takes time to make money. A good business model is the one your exactly using...

    Find a profitable niche>Build List>promote related products.

Remember money is in this list - and you can only accomplish this once you have formed trust and a relationship with them (which takes time).

So I would say stick to your current plan until you see results.

My teacher Chris Farrell made nothing his first 6 months online - but has now made a new record of 1 million sales in 24 hrs!

Product creation is the best and most sustainable business model out there!

You will build a buyers list and after consuming your product they will continue to take your advice and become fans of yours. Create a full sales funnel and you can also get affiliates to drive traffic for you.

Affiliate marketer Steve Scott earns a nice full-time living from just ONE affiliate niche using a fairly simple but very effective business model.

      1. By submitting high quality content to EzineArticles.com and YouTube, he attracts visitors to a squeeze page.

      2. There, he tempts them with a powerful freebie.

      3. They subscribe to his email list, where he provides them with useful information and promotes affiliate offers.

He earned about $110,000 doing this last year.

stop thinking the grass is greener on the other side

list building is a rock solid business model and you should focus most of your time building your list and delivering value to your list

there are tonnes of other ways out there to make money but none are as profitable as building a good solid targeted list

The easiest and quickest way to make money online is sell stuff from around your house on Ebay.

Everything else requires work, and without knowing you is simply throwing darts at the dart board. You can make money with all the various strategies you see online, the question isn't which strategy is best, the question is which one is right for you.

Agreed....eBay is the quickest and easiest way to make money online. My record time is about 7 minutes after listing. I listed a product and within about 7 minutes it sold and I had $250 net profit in my paypal account.

It's not necessarily the most efficient, though.

You should probably stick to building a list (since it seems like that's what you're good at), and work the list for the next 5 years. You'll see your $100+ income then.

How about the "Shoemoney" model. Ive been reading up about this guy and here is the "grand-master" business model:

Step 1. Create a product that requires implementation of services A,B,C,D,E...
(For example, Product:"How to make money on line"
Requires a Domain and Hosting Account -A
Requires an Email service - B
    Requires SEO services - C
    Requires Twitter promotion - D
    Requires Copywriting Service - E)

Step 2. Crowd Source Advertiser or Affiliate marketeers. Give them 90% or EVEN 110% commission. This provides enough buyers of your product and kills the competition. Who else gives 110% commission?

Step 3. Become a referral agent of a WebHoster, Email Service, SEO Service Provider, Twitter Agent, and Copywriter.

Step 4. Ensure your product strongly encourages people to use your "preferred" solutions in the package by throwing in freebies that "only works with this WebHoster, and Email Service provider" - this ensures the "lock in" and your commission.

Step 5. Wear stupid T-shirts with a logo that matches the one painted on your swimming pool and become a marketing rock-god!

So, you give once (110%) to receive 3,4 or 5x commissionables.

Eg, 1,000 people buy your $99 original product. Costs you $108 grand.

1,000 sign up to the domain provider of your choice with a kick back of 20$:

    A:1,000 x $20 (domain) = $20,000
    B:1,000 x $20 (monkey mail) = $20,000
    C:1,000 x $20 (SEO) = $20,000
    D:1,000 x $20 (...so on...) = $20,000
    E:....

And of course, your up sell to your seminar at $2,000.
And then membership to your "ELITE" inner circle $8,000
And then further marketing of your 1,000 list to other marketeers... for 50%

But the numbers need careful calculation because you wont get ANYWHERE near 100% follow-up. I think its only about 5% of people actually USE the info product..and i suspect this is why its also the trend to point this out to buyer to incentivise their action. Doubling the implementation of the system doubles the enterprise's commissions.

Course, I havent done this, but seems like a reasonable model and in terms of speed seems a fast one. (i.e. the affiliate marketeers build your list for you, but it does cost in terms of the high commission SO, you need deep pockets to ride it, or wicked sales pitch to convert all the A,B,C,D and so on)

When you're rich, remember your old friends here!! ;-)

    btw:

"make sure you have no competition." - Im dubious about this. After many years in business, Im almost resigned to the notion that "new ideas" are very, very rare. Someone else somewhere HAS had the same idea as you, and if there is no competition, its usually for a good reason...cos it sucks! If there is no competition and it doesnt suck, within 30 seconds someone else will have ripped your site and you WILL have competition... no getting away from that one.IMHO then, the conclusion is, "Quickest, easiest, most efficient way to no profits."

Further thought on "No Competition"... the caveat would be to "STOP" competition. Normally with patents, trademarks, licencing and other barriers to entry...
