Do you believe in CPM advertising?

I recently tried Facebook CPM ads and got my butt handed to me. Has CPM advertising worked for you?

Yhea, your post tells me that maybe you just threw a bunch of money into fb and lost your shirt and gave up. FB ads work, but like all cpm you have to test a bunch of offers and images and copy til you find a winner. CPM is usually cost per 1000 impressions, so if you're getting a ton of impressions and paying for them and not getting any clicks or leads, then don't blame fb cpm as the problem, instead look at your ads.

Oh, I'm not blaming anyone. I'm just wondering if people have been really successful.

CPM has worked pretty well, but I would not make it my number one advertising resource. I prefer blogging.

Test your conversion pages first... Test Test Test!

Then dump your money in a profitable campaign.

That's the critical marketing word for CPM!

CPM tends to be largely for branding. If you're counting on direct sales from CPM ads, you'll often be disappointed. Think of them like TV commercials - they're usually used to get people to recognize and remember a product or service, rather than motivate them to buy on the spot (with the exception of DRTV marketing).
