I'm getting into IM and looking to hire someone for personal coaching/mentoring. I'm willing to pay of course. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to go about finding someone?

Thanks

It depends on what you wont to do in IM and what your skills are. If your very new then you will need to spend at last 6 months getting your feet wet.

Focus on learning the skills first and the money will come.

I would start buy building your first list. Create a 10 page report and give it away in the WSO section in return for an email address. You should get 100 subs from that, send them some free content and a few promos as well.

    Good luck.

Look in the mirror, there's the person who is going to make it happen or fail. People seem to have the mistaken belief that Mentor = success.

Everything you need to know is available for free, most right on this forum.

If you are looking for a private mentor or coach, make sure your mentor spends time getting to know you. Your interests, strengths, values, etc.... You don't want someone who simply starts telling you what to do... I see far too many people that jump right into the "do this" mode, with no idea if those suggestions are right...

There are plenty of IM coaches around here, you will likely be getting some Private Messages soon. :-) Just make sure they are really taking the time to understand you and are helping you with a plan that is personally designed around.

There are similar threads where the OP's asked similar questions. Let me suggest that you search on here by "mentor" or "coach" and look at many of the suggestions offered by the repliers. Jot down some names and then do some research to see if their programs resonate well with you.

You can also do a search through active and older WSO threads where many of these mentors advertise and take some time to go through the replies on the threads and research accordingly.

The most important thing is to have your mentor provide indisputable proof that they are successful. That means they've got a business up and running and receiving substantial income from it. Anything short of that is nothing but commentary. Good luck.

To add, some bonus tools or ad-dons related to what mentor teaches would be very helpful. One such bonus for a newbie is a ready to use website with all premium features list building & squeeze pages. Most of the mentors would already have developer license or resale rights.

If you are a complete newcomer I recommend Chris Farrell. He has been voted Number 1 internet marketing coaching program by IM report card for 2010-2012.

Hello, You could look for upcoming internet marketing events in your area etc. When arrived attend them, sometimes the speakers are very good internet marketers and will offer good mentoring packages or programs. This is a way to get good coaching for a discounted price...

You could try over the internet but can be quite costly.. Having a mentor is a must.. Helps you avoid making mistakes as you get taught the shortcuts.

Is now a good time to put my coaching and consulting services back into my signature? Lol just kidding. Make sure your consultant or mentor has case studies, testimonials, samples, content, and their own website.
