How do I start Internet Marketing

Kishor,

This must rank as the Nº1 most generic question in these forums.

Can I please ask you a question.

Why have you got stuff that you don't know what to do with?

Is it, possibly, that you believed the first biz opp you found that promised you could wear your underpants, drink coffee and click your mouse to see tons of 'moolah' flooding your accounts?

To put your question in perspective.

Two men are standing at the North Pole. Man A asks Man B how to get to London and Man B asks Man A how to get to Moscow - they both answer - 'Head South'

Kishor...

What you can do to start making some money online is by affiliate marketing...

If you have PLR products clogging space on your hard drive...

And...

You want to build a list...

Give the PLR away to visitors as an incentive for them giving you their name and email address...

And don't forget to brand your PLR products with your affiliate link...

But be sensible about it. Don't brand a "dog training" PLR book with a "real estate" affiliate link...

Keep giving away PLR products to your list...consistently...

Eventually some will be appreciative enough to consider what you have to offer...

And eventually buy...

How long does it take...

It could be days...weeks...months...even years...

The important thing to remember is...

Don't Give Up, Kishor!

And let me make Heading South Clear: Choose a Product, Niche and create blog about them. I would suggest you to write your own content. Write articles about that product and submit it to Article directories. Don't even think of submitting PLR articles.

And finally try to search perivous treads about Internet Marketing and How to make money. You will find a lot of valuable information that would help you that are from fellow warriors.

  As a relative newbie, I have learned that you need to sell where the majority of people visit - get on Google by writing articles, blogs, you tube, press releases. If your product is allowed by eBay, sell there. Get a list and send quality offers & freebies leading to sales and, hopefully, affiliates. Become an affiliate yourself whilst you are starting. Hope this helps but, as I said, I am relaively new but these are the actions I am taking.

I too am relatively a newbie to the world of Internet Marketing, but I am finding that as long as you are doing your homework, there are lots of "free" sites out there that you can promote yourself & you items on! I am finding that I am getting lots of daily hits, by being consistent.

First of all, put away all your internet marketing books, videos and PLR stuff, you only need them in later stage.

Now I want you to check out the tv, news, magazines, people conversations and find out what are they talking about? What is the hot, hot, thing everyone is talking about?

check out amazon.com, ebay.com buy.com and find out the to seller.

Once you find out all these info, get all your internet marketing stuff and you an start writing articles about the info you have just found out.

When you make your first sale, you know you hit a goldmine and you can start building a list.

Try rewriting one of the PLR products and rewriting the sales page and then selling it by ClickBank. Get some affiliates on board and then later flip the product on SitePoint.

That's what I'd do.

They are all good ideas, I shall try them, its just a matter of finding which one works best for me

Just one more thing, I have been looking into creating a membership site, but not sure which software to use

Does anyone here run a successful membership site? if so then can you point me in the right direction of how to go about setting this up?

Wouldn't we all?

It sounds like you want to start a membership site that provides people with this PLR that you have? Is it all in the same niche? Let me guess, is it the make money online niche?

No matter what niche it is, then I think the place to start is with keyword research - that's going to be the basis of driving traffic to your offer whether you use organic search results or PPC.

If the PLR is in different niches then pick one and start with that before you try to spread yourself to thin.

Also, I think if you focus on how you can give your subscribers great value instead of focusing on something that you will "hardly have to look after" then you might find you attract more customers.

thanks for the good advice

When I stated "I will hardly have to look after" I was meant to say that I did not want to setup something that will just bring in money from one-off sales from different products, I want to be able to setup something that will bring in revenue each month without having to re-write sales pages for each and every product that I decide to bring on the market

If I had a membership site then I would just add the product into the members area and the existing members would have access to it, alongside my membership site would be a blog that will have updates and news about whats going on.

So in effect I would really only have to update my blog and membership sites....

in reponse to your advice, I will focus on one thing first and make a success of it, then work on the next idea

Hi Kishor,

That sounds like you have a good plan then. I used to do a lot of dog related websites and I belonged to a membership site that produced a new dog related ebook every month (Dog Books Monthly | Dog PLR | Pet PLR) - it was a great package - ebook, autoresponder, keywords lists, sales page etc... I'm not sure if that's the type of thing you want to get into but you might consider.

The only thing is that the dog books monthly stuff was exclusive to that site - not PLR that he got from somewhere else and was just passing on. Thus the value of the membership. If you wanted to go that route you could certainly have the exlusive ebooks written for your membership.

I think I would be pulling towards the Internet Marketing niche, people who are also in the same boat as me and wanting to setup online.

I think that in today's economy and the way it is, people are looking for ways to bring in a second income

Do you think that this is a good idea/niche to go into?

When you think about it, making money on the net isn't much different than making it in the physical world. You gotta identify your edge, refine its presentation, gather advice from those smarter than you, and then aggressively implement the advice given.

Your letter really got to me because I have been exactly where you are. I don't want to admit all the money I spent on DVDs, training programs, etc. But finally I was overwhelmed. I'd start one thing then jump to another...kept reaching dead ends after a lot of work..didn't know what to do next...so I'd start a new program, hoping it would be easier to follow. THEN I stumbled on Mack. He has everything you need in one place...dozens of options...but most important...he takes you step by step no matter what option for your online business you choose. Just like he is sitting next to you teaching...I'd have a question while watching, and he'd answer it in the next few sentences!! You gotta meet him. Hi Sandra, I do feel for you, glad to know that someone was where I am now, i do not mean that in a bad way, please do not take it wrongly, I have got so much information, its making my mind go crazy... InformationOverload lol....

I am glad that you have sorted yourself out and I know you have a path/guideline that you are following to run your business

I think that it what I may be lacking in, the right path or a system that I myself have to put in place for me to follow
