Best ways to pump my subscriptions up for Christmas

Hello Everyone!

I have a membership website for about a year and a half now. I have about a hundred subscribers which gives me from 350 euros to 550 euros a month (living in the Philippines - so decent money). I also built a list of about 2000 people so far.

Since Christmas is coming, I wanted to make a special offer to boost my sales a bit. I will basically advertize it on my site and email my list a couple of times before the offer.

My question for you is: Would you know any good ways to boost even more the sales? - either pre-sales techniques, or during the offer.
I was thinking of maybe making a adwords campaign (But it would be my first).

If any of you would have a good idea or an experience to share, that would be great! If you need any additional info to give me targeted tips, I'll be checking the thread regularly to answer.

Thanks in advance for any help!

In the past I have carried out a 24Hr day sale...

I've emailed on the morning of the sale explaining the sale and saying its limited to 24 Hours.

I've then emailed on the evening of the sale (To those who had not bought) explaining that some people had not received the email so I was extending the sale for 12 Hrs.

I then emailed 6 Hrs before the end reminding them that the sale was ending.

There are a number of variations you can do.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

This is a good idea. If you really want to maximize your revenue you can mail out a couple days before you do the promotion and tell them that you are running a christmas promotion in the form of a 24 hour sale. You should also include a link to a squeeze page and tell them that if they go ahead and opt-in to your 'Early-Bird List' then you will give them an additional discount during that 24 hours.

This will make people feel like they are really getting a great deal and when the promotion day comes you will have a bunch of people hot and ready to sign up at the discounted price.

        That's a very good idea!
So basically a 48h long Christmas offer, but with a longer pre-sale offer at an even better price. That sounds very nice!

I don't think press releases will be an appropriate medium to promote products in my niche. Would you recommend to go the adword route maybe or is it going to be a bit difficult for a one timer just for this promotion?

Thanks for your answer, I will definaltly try that!
Do you think a 24-48h offer is better than a 2 weeks offer? I was planning on making a 2 weeks offer, but to be honest, I'm not sure if I will get more sales. On short offers, there is this sens of urgency that is not on longer ones...

The longer the sale the more people will think about it. By shortening the length of the sale you make people purchase on impulse....they feel they need to take action or they will miss out. If its too long they'll have a think about it and you know what happens then...

If you have a responsive list, I would give them a 24-48 time line to buy the product.

You can also offer them a higher then normal priced products that will bank you more commissions.

Conduct three 1 hour long interviews with other experts in your niche. Then offer those interviews for free if they buy your offer within the next 48 hours.

Send out Press Releases about those interviews and about your product. Mention about the 48 hour special sale.

I wouldn't dabble with adwords if you have never used their platform before. Depending on the niche your CPC will most likely be pretty high and your ROI might not be as good as you expect.

You should test out some cheaper traffic sources like infolinks, PPV, or try doing media buys on blogs in your niche.

I guess the CPC wont be that high since it is a targeted niche in the french market.
Anyways, thanks a lot to everyone for the good tips. That will help me for sure!
