A lot of Internet marketers promoting affiliate products, especially IM products, seem to rely solely on their list.
They find a new launch, send a promotional email, and then they're looking for the next product.
Nothing wrong with that. Some make a lot of money doing this. But it's also like being a rat on the launch treadmill.

- Wrote a detailed review of the product on a website. (Not a copy of the sales page, and not a 30-second quick pitch piece). An actual review.
- Created more information about the benefits of the product on my Warrior Forum blog.
These are long-term assets. They may not bring in a lot of dough, but a few extra sales is found money. Like the cash received today.
There's no reason why you can't make an offer via email and create a long-term asset to make future sales.
