Hi,

I would like to share a video link about a 15 years old boy, who attracted celebrities and billionaires in investing into his mobile app company.

See how he interacted with a group of journalists. Very articulate.

What his app does is to summarize whatever news from several sources into amazingly simple and beautiful synopses. A more intelligent algorithm than Google and Bing.

I think most people that get into app making make very little money or can end up losing loads but if you hit it big you are going to make some serious money! - good for him, obviously a very smart kid!

There are lots of people of all ages with great ideas. What separates this smart guy from many of the others is that he took action on his idea and made it happen. Very impressive.

Hi,

What his app does is show the synopses, attract people to read the full articles. And the publishers share part of the income generated from the traffic with the boy.

So his business model is very clear and simple. Probably that is why the multi-billionaire Li Kah Shing phoned the boy personally and invested US$200,000 immediately as seed money.

Furthermore, he expresses his ideas amazingly well for a boy of his age. Anyone who heard him would be extremely impressed.

So the take away points from this story are :
=> Clear & Simple Business Model
=> Good Communication Skills

*** I wouldn't be surprised if Google or Microsoft or even Oracle would soon offer him tonnes for the algorithm.

This is an amazing story! I love seeing how kids take a risk and put their ideas out there. Great lesson for us adults. I will definitely be showing this to my 16 year old daughter.
