      I was also going to suggest fiverr for $5. There are some pretty good resources for graphics. Check samples and feedback.

      There are also a number of people here in the Warriors for Hire section that do ebook covers for reasonable prices.

    My girlfriend actually does this (she loves photoshop and she's pretty damn good to be honest).

    She usually charges anything between $35 and $50. If that's not too much for you, PM me and I'll send you her email address if you'd like to discuss it with her.

      If you're thinking about doing it yourself, you can get some free, royalty free images and use a free graphics program like Gimp (similar to photoshop).

    I have made several e-book covers there. They are probably not as professional as the ones made by designers in the "warriors for hire" section, but it is still a possible solution if you want to do it yourself

    otherwise, "warriors for hire" section is the place to go.

    You can use software but for specific style.If you want to really sell it than get it designed from a professional designer.If cover is not attractive - no one is going to buy it. You know cover is everything:-)

    It's going to depend on a lot of factors like the quality and effect of the graphics, the designer location, if you are buying in bulk you can negotiate for discount and many more.
