Go to LinkedIn. There are plenty of people there who just leave their emails open so that people can contact them either to connect or to do business.

I've also just started to use exploreb2b.com

Although, I'd still highly recommend LinkedIn as I've been there before and have even generated a few leads from it.

Is it a service you want to sell them, like SEO?

Maxwell is right about LinkedIn being a good opportunity for you. If it is business people in a specific niche, you are looking for, you can join groups. Add value to the group, start connecting with people you have chatted with in that group. Then start contacting them.

That is how I would do it I hope it answers your question...

Hi, email marketing is not about sending massive emails to people who don't know you, that's called spam. Email marketing is about sending email to your list or making someoneelse promote your product to their list. the third choice, which is not spam but I highly recommend NOT doing is to hire lists from trusted sites. I don't recomend this because it is very possible to pay the money and not recieve any leads at all. Remeber that deleting an email is as easy as moving a finger. so, people usually open the emails of people they already know or, and this is extraordinary exceptional, when the email subject is so apealing they can't resist it.

You need to build your list (of people who is willing to receive your emails). You can collect emails and build your list by producing good content. It may not be the easiest way but this is the most effective way to do email marketing

Hi, I would highly recommend that your email leads do actually opt-in to receive emails from you in order to protect yourself.

The best way to do this is to signup with a good autoresponder service such as aweber or getresponse.

Create yourself an opt-in form and when people sign up through it they will automatically receive a confirmation email from your autoresponder.

This is called double opt-in once they confirm to receive your emails and it is the safest way to email people. The second advantage of using an autoresponder is being able to set up your emails which will automatically be sent to your subscribers on a time and a date of your choice.

You will not have very much success with a non targeted list. In fact besides the legal aspects it is a good way to get your IP/Domain/email address blocked by various networks. I highly suggest the much proven opt in methods. You will have better results and no fear of legality.

Their are plenty of Email marketing software that sells legitimate active emails base from your target audience and what particular industry you are trying to reach. However, you have to subscribe on their email software first before you can use the list without heading to a spam folder for your recipient. You can try searching on Google theirs a plenty of results that offers a list by using the third party software.
