Is a site like this possible in wordpress?

    I don't know if it is really possible but I see some websites that are related to dating sites built in wordpress. Maybe it is possible

    If I were you I would contact a wordpress designer/programmer to let them take a look at it. I am no programmer or "expert", so that is what I would do. You can find plenty of options in the "warriors for hire" section

    If you know how to use WP, then you ll be able to find a them that fits your needs on themeforest or other marketplaces.

    But if you want one similar to the 1 you showed, it will need some customization and you won t be able to do that yourself.

    You said you want something like your example. hence the answers.

    If you just want something looking a bit like this, then you ll probably be able to DIY.

    Definitely possible. Just hit up Elance or Warriors for Hire and you'll find someone that can get a site like that up for a couple of hundred dollars.

    For that type of site i'd probably go with a straight up custom theme.

    Get it designed as an image (.psd) and get a "covert PSD to website" service to build a custom theme for you.

    With Wordpress all things are possible! Assuming of course that you have a working knowledge of PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS :-)

    If not... Hire someone with good credentials! Just be prepared to pay for it. Getting it done right by a professional is going to come with a price tag.

    Yes this can be done but you may need someone who is very adept to working with WordPress

      Shouldn't be to difficult. First thing I would do is copy the css for reference.

      As for navigation, I would go with css instead of a flash menu. The navigation would be static in nature, thus you would have to hard code if you added pages, or maybe there might be a plugin.
      On the Home page I would use a carousel plugin
      3 bottom ie widget areas. Seen templates with similar structure.
      Individual pages can use post/page templates ie full width, no sidebars.
      So more or less you could mod an existing theme.

      Here is a site my brother and I more or less cloned. (His Idea as to which they are a competitor to him and his Partners. A bit of malicious humor and salt in the wound lol)

      The top site improved there page with a few elements over the past few months, but at the time the fbp site went live it was an exact clone in structure.
