    Well there's a bit of encouraging news.
    I don't know why crooks would expect fraud to be treated as less than fraud just because it was online. In fact, because it is online there are a lot of people in more countries that the fraudster's own who are affected. They should be able to be arrested in any country that there are people could be defrauded by the scam.
