Right Place, Right Time.

A porn message board that I used to frequent (don't judge me) changed their name about a year ago. For whatever reason, they just let the old domain name expire and never thought about redirecting that traffic to the new site.

I was able to buy the domain for $60 after expiration on Godaddy auctions. I've never done adult site marketing, so I just simply signed up to a reputable adult affiliate program, and redirected the traffic directly to one of their sites. I'm banking about $1700/mth for doing absolutely nothing.

Do you have any stories like that?

    Haha! Incredible. Yeah, I've heard stories like that.. some people really know there way around domains and snatch up opportunities like that all the time. I know someone that used to manage an entire SEO company by buying expired domains and redirecting them to his clients websites to pass on all the link juice.. he had over 100,000 domains. Pretty cool!

    I never heard that before. Why wouldn't they want to renew their domain name? Maybe they forgot or just were too lazy.

    If that website is getting you $1700 per month with you doing nothing then good for you. That is awesome even though I would never get into that niche myself.

    Who knows? Maybe one day they'll decide to throw an "appreciation party" for their premium affiliates (people like yourself).

    Anyway thanks for sharing. It just goes to show that money is around us if we keep an open mind, and take action on what we really want.
