Is PayPal out of its mind?
The reason why we are creating this thread is to inform all the new and also the old users about the disregard that PayPal has towards its clients. We have been burnt twice by Paypal and we hope that this might give a red flag to some of the people who trust PayPal with from their hearts. We would also like to hear about your bad experiences with PayPal and their customer services.
Our first incident with PayPal was a year back, when we tried to sell one of our websites on Flippa. Everything went well, the auction ended with a price of 1000$ and the buyer was really happy. He made the payment through Flippa and to our PayPal account. Due to the fact, that 1000$ was a pretty big sum of money for us at that time, we wanted to withdraw some of the money and reinvest it to various other business ventures. PayPal immediately declined the withdrawal request and “limited” our account for no apparent reason, after which, they requested that we confirm some information. We sent all the requested information and documents, starting from ID card copies to bills with name and address proof. After a month of “reviewing” our account we still got permanently “limited”, and could only expect our funds to be released after a 180 days.. We were devastated but there was nothing left to do.
Our second incident took place a few days ago. We were providing cheap and quality WSO designing services to fellow Warriors and everything went rather well. All of our customers were happy and we gained some nice money on to our PayPal account. We were holding our fingers crossed as we made the first withdrawal for around 100$. Everything went well and we received the money quickly. The second withdrawal was for around 150$. The first withdrawal process went well and we though so would this one. After the request, we received an email from PayPal, that they had noticed some form of suspicious pattern in our actions and limited our account once more, until they would receive more information about us. Yea, a “suspicious pattern”. We were providing quality services and we were withdrawing the money from time to time. Since when is it a crime to withdraw honestly made money you have earned with your hard work? Event after we had waited for approximately half a week for them to review the little information they required us to send in (a copy of a recent bill with name and address and a recertification of a credit card). Imagine someone forced to live day to day, counting pennies, and then have a big corporation just take all the money you made with your time and efforts, out of your hands, and then simply step on you by providing almost zero feedback or support on solving the issue. Because, if you ask me, this is basically PayPal in a nutshell.
