Hi everyone!

I'm trying to decide on what File Storage to use and I would really appreciate some opinions.

I need a service where I can upload any mutlimedia file and also provides online streaming.

I'm currently using Dropbox that I love and I know that allows me to preview images and watch videos online.

I haven't ever used Amazon and I find it confusing from their website to figure out how it works exactly and what's the pricing.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi,

I am using Amazon S3 to host my video's and it very reliable.

You can get started for free with Amazon S3 where you will get 5GB storage for free.

Check the pricing details in the link below:

I prefer Dropbox. Simple to use and they are set up on Amazon S3. The difference is that you do not get the same CDN delivery benefits of Dropbox as you do by using S3 directly. But for my money, Dropbox will do and works great.

I vote for Amazon S3. It's really become the standard for online videos and file downloads nowadays. It's reliable, it's cheap, and once you get the hang of it, it's really not that hard to use.

    Hi katindo!

Amazon S3 is best for saving audio and video files. Some savvy internet marketers used this because it does not hold any storage into your computer because it is an external site.

It can also produce amazon S3 based urls for you to ping it and get your content indexed several time in different places.

If it was for sharing files, I'd choose Amazon S3 over dropbox, it's way stable, and flexible. With the percentages of what I see out there, I rarely see download links hosted with dropbox..

So I'd go for Amazon S3.

Thank you very much everyone! It looks like Amazon it is!

One more question. Does Amazon have online streaming? Will I be able to watch an uploaded video online without having to download it?
